The most important thing as a parent is to leave our children as much as we can. One of those important things to leave for them is WATER. Water is an Elixir of life and the most inevitable thing on earth. All living being, small or big needs water to survive, and so was I. Continuous lack of water in our area forced me to rethink about the rain water harvesting system. I worked out my expenditure and the available resources and planed accordingly. Now I am able to save atleast 1000 litres of water if it rains for half hour a single session. It costs me 400/- Rs for every 1000 litres if I had to buy water for the daily requirements form my family. God in the Form of Nature started to resolve our water crisis after my eyes of wisdom opened up finally.
It costed just 500/- Rs for me to set this up. This is an easy method to install and cost effective as well. You can do it yourself. DIY as you can call it.
Watch the video fully and take home a message. No body is going to give you a single penny unless you work for it. Nature gives it for free, competely free. Store it, Use it and live it.

If you make like a well it will increase the water table in your area. But we can pump from borewells only when the water table has reached a certain point. But when you make a tank you can save water for your immediate needs real time. It depends where you are. In my area increasing water table might not be beneficial for me because neighbors have drilled 1500 feet bore wells but ours is only 300 ft. So I am collecting rain water in tank only sister. Because I want to draw water real time for our needs.

எளிமையாக செய்ய கூடிய வேலையை மிக கடினமாக செய்துள்ளிர்கள் நாங்கள் எங்கள் வீட்டில் எந்த நீரும் வீணாகாதது போல் மழைநீர் சேகரிப்பு தொட்டியில் ஐந்து உரை இரக்கி மழைநீர் மட்டும் சேர்க்கிறோம் நாங்கள் உபயோகிக்கும் சம்பு 18 ஆயிரம் லிட்டர் சம்பு அதில் மெட்ரோ நீர் விழுமாறு சேர்க்கிறோம் மழைநீர் வேண்டும் என்றால் அதுவும் விழுமாறு வால்வு திருப்பி மாற்றலாம்

Let us know about your techniques so that others could be benefitted. I've used that method which was pocket friendly to my situation bro. More over we didn't pre plan this water harvesting when we built our house. Its already 30 yrs since we built it. As you can see in the video we have only 1000 lit sump capacity for metro water. I've directed the rain water into that sump only. I've made use of whatever I could to save as much water I could. So if we build a new house, we'll definitely have simpler provisions for harvesting rain water bro. Thank you for your comments and pl enlighten us about your methodology of harvesting.

If it is air tight there won't be contaminated. See to it that mosquitoes don't enter the tank. You can also use bleach..

4 to .75 is not advisable. U should use 2 inch pipe till to sump. U didn't explain how you have used the mesh.

Bro we cannot connect it directly to the bore it seems. The bore might close due to that. So we have to make some pit near the borewell.. It's not a good idea to connect rain water directly.
