A detail I really like is how it is implied the explosive spear didn't really kill Hunter since they still move just before the animation ends. In game, Hunter long legs isn't instakilled by explosives like most rot creatures are, and can survive several explosive spears.

I love it. I especially love the fact the Hunter’s body moving after being hit shows that Artificer will die or potentially have to strike Hunter down again. This is the maximized bad ending; Artificer lives long enough to see Hunter transform and thinks they stuck down Hunter’s rot interested corpse but they didn’t. Allowing for a surprise attack that will likely kill Artificer and Artificer has just enough time to start processing that they just killed Hunter.

Did you know? Hunter long legs is immune to explosive spears in the sense they don’t instantly kill them! It’ll certainly down them for a second or two, so if you aren’t aware you might assume it was an instant kill like it would be to a BLL or DLL :] So. Well. Yeah.

@@Poorly-drawn-Fox Spoilers "Like sleep like death, you wake up again whether you want to or not" "Know that it does not make you special, every living being shares that same frustration" The Cycle is the force that does not let you die, whenever the player dies, he restarts the game from the place he last time slept, canonically this works for every creature in the world, essentially granting them Immortality, but trapping them in a cycle of constant suffering waking up and rebirthing, for example, The Hunter is basically forced to relive being born, suffer from his disease and then dying over, and over, and over. This is why ancient civilization tried to find a way to escape this cycle. You should really check Rain World lore videos if you're not planning to play the game.

I have seen random parts for this MAP for MONTHS, from before I bought Rain World to now, when I am obsessed with anything to do with it. It seemed constant, something that would never be finished. Yet here it is. The first thing I see on my recommended, forcing me to take a second to process it, before watching what I have eagerly anticipated for months... The video just ended, and this better than anything I could have hoped for. I typically don't ship characters, and always opposed that in the Rain World community, but this has changed my mind. I love all the ways the two were represented in different styles, and it's really cool seeing my favorite animators next to new ones i've never seen. I for some reason I love how Yellowl portrayed Arti's explosive jump, a really nice touch paired with a really good quality animation. I had been waiting for this map for so long, and I wake up, get on youtube, and it's at the top of my recommended. What a blessing. AND HOLY CRAP THE COUGHING THAT DARLIECHARLIE MADE. this is one of the greatest maps i've ever seen. I'm almost at a loss for words, every part was SO WELL DONE and CREATIVE, from the relatively wholesome to the horrific they all executed their purpose SO WELL! and the bloopers at the end soothed all the emotional damage I willingly witnessed in this ❣yea my friends who don't play rain world are gonna be hearing about this....damn.... shout out to the part at 0:46 I've never seen animation like that in a MAP before! and it felt so playful 😊 and shout out to the part at 4:15 with the hunter long legs looking so NASTY and the strike arti delivers being off-screen 😔
