I would absolutely love to see what this looks like when it has fully dried! I am definitely gonna be trying this out! I love the rainbow pearls/cells! 🌈! I have fallen in love with so many pours and so many different types of pour techniques! And this one may have just made itself to my absolute favorite! Now hopefully when I try it it doesn’t turn to mud!

One question. Hopefully you see this I know I am watching later.. work kicked my buck this week so I am just getting caught up.. My question is: Do you keep the same consistency for the extreme sheens, and the black? Or do you make one or the other thicker? Meaning are the extreme sheen thicker, thinner, or same(or as close as possible) consistency? I know you mentions your paint being mixed ahead of time and thickening up while y’all had dinner.. but all in all just curious if everything roughly the same? From the video the black looks thinner. But without personally stirring it, or hearing an artist specify it’s hard to truly tell.. Especially when the pouring part of the paints are done differently! Would highly appreciate any info you can give me on this! ♥️🌈 I am dying to give this a try!

Hi there happy to answer! 😊 the Black was thinner thank the decoart metallics. I don’t usually thin the decoart after mixing equal parts with Floetrol 😊

Sarah Mack.. Thank you!! It’s what I honestly thought! Julie from pour your heart out does a similar approach in her video #486 her third attempt on gold floating pearls, and she kept her Extreme sheen gold thicker then the paints she used to do a ring pour over top the gold.. this was my favorite one she did for the floating pearls, her ring pour part ended up looking like a blue rose almost. I feel she used way to much paint for her ring pour so she lost a lot of her gold pearls but the ones she had left, made like frame around the rose of gold pearls. I am thinking of mixing the techniques you two use, cause the similarities I think will bring the techniques together! And see if I can get rainbow pearls, with almost a rose looking center. But definitely not as much paint as she used to do the ring pour. I dunno if I can get anywhere close to what either of you made I would be so excited! I really really love your paint pouring videos! When I have time to get caught up on videos you are always the first subscription I start with! 😍!

Fascinating! Those cells really did explode! This was quite an amazing experiment. I have to hand it to you for your sense of adventure in trying out new things. Even if you're a little nervous about risking the paint, you seem to maintain more of a sense of fun about it over a few drops of concern. I've gotten far too upset when I've lost paint, I think (at this point now) after having watched how you are about these things.

Going back to watch some videos I've missed of yours! This painting is just beautiful Sarah! I held my breath as I watched you pour that black over those gorgeous Extreme Sheen colors. And...Voila! What an incredible morphing it did to that painting!!! Love it! Just wondering if it was the Culture Hustle .02 paint that caused those effects or the Extreme Sheen? Can any other black paint be used that I'm sure I probably already have. 🙏🙄 I'm just tapped out financially and can't buy another paint at this time. Sarah, I thought you should be aware of some Blackest Black information. I’ve been a beta tester for 2.0 and 3.0 and in order for it to be “blackest” it must be matte. If it has any shine, it’s just a nice black. The matte absorbs all the light in order to be blackest. If you mix anything into it that shines, you defeat it’s purpose. I hope this helps. It would be awesome painted around a beautiful pour to be a contest.

Yes I am very aware 😊 and I have used it as a frame around a couple of pieces. This piece in particular did not keep its shape and I had paint running towards and poured off one corner while it dried because it wasn’t level. Bummed either way by the cells looked really cool with the matte black in between

Ok Sarah I did this pour today and it is nice and the Artists Loft black worked. I thinned it down more that the deco art extreme sheen but what I have found is that I think decor art 1:1 ratio for me here out in Arizona is thicker and I think that prevents the cells from coming through. They come through where the black is but not so much other areas. It was a great experiment and I love the painting. I have paint left over so I think I will try again and dilute the paints slightly with some water or more floetrol what do you think?

Oh thank you! You are so kind.💕 yes they will all be level when dry. There is no silicone in it...it’s just the way the paint looks when wet and celled up 😊

Thank you! Yes other blacks will do the same. This is just what I had on hand 😊 the black is from Stewart Sample/Culture Hustle it’s suppose to be the blackest black able to purchase. It is a matte black.

The decoart cells best with Floetrol. I’ve tried Golden’s medium with not much success. But I have not tried with mixed mediums like the ones with glue etc.
