You might want to know that the green Jade wears is _not_ emerald green: emerald is a notably deeper green with a lot more blue in it, resembles dewy grass just before sunrise. It's _not_ jade green either, jade is a foresty but brighter true green, more yellow than emerald but more blue than what's on Jade Hunter. What Jade is wearing is a yellow green that would, sticking with the jewel theme, describe accurately as "peridot" or "olivine" (both the same thing: peridot is the term used by jewelers while olivine is used by mineralogists): a brighter, lighter, yellower green that is reminiscent of the colors of green olives and "white" grapes. This has been a PSA from your friendly neighborhood gemmologist and color enthusiast.

Thanks for the correction and the info on gems! This particular Jade doll is definitely more of a "jade" color than emerald green. Maybe MGA will make an "emerald" green Jade in the future. We would love that!

We've talked about them/this brand a bit so I won't repeat myself much and just say - they got me gal!! And $26 for two full looks roughly falls in line with early bratz releases too and officially makes them a better cost value than the OMGs. All I really need in future waves are more diverse and darker skin tones TBQH For now I definitely want Sunny, Skylar and Jade. The others might follow if those are ones are great but we'll see

I work at target and I looked these dolls up in our system today to try and get Violet. anyway I noticed there were some additional dolls with no pictures that I can only assume are wave 2?? here they were: Rainbow High Fashion Doll - Pink RHFD - Teal Boy RHFD - Fuchsia RHFD - Indigo RHFD - Neon RHFD - Pastel Rainbow they were all priced at 26.99 just like these! I'm assuming the names are temporary but at least we know what colors are coming! idk if this is common info; I tried to google but im on my break so sorry if everyone knows this already lol

Honestly Im in love with the RH doll line. They are the qualaty and articilation we had in the Monster High days. Recently on the market there aren't much doll lines that are this good so its very refreshing to see that. OMG and RH dolls have brought us back the qualaty and detail we all missed. I have a feeling there might be more doll lines with such detail and all very soon. Also the RH dolls look like they are one of thoes dolls that smell very nice. Like their fruty smell never goes away like thoes Strawberry Shortcake dolls. I Don't know why Im thinking that..

I think the outfits are amazing, not only the quality, but also the way they match. You can really change all of the pieces and make many different outfits. You get so many pieces, like socks and the layers of the outfits are separate. There are also three different crop tops and all of them have a different style/pattern. Pretty cool.

Thank you for your comprehensive review of this entire line! I was shopping for essentials at Target last night & just decided cruised the doll aisles to cheer myself up. Once there, Ruby, Poppy, Sunny, & Violet greeted me with their beauty. I was immediately smitten with Violet & had to get her. Luckily, there were 3 in stock to choose from, so I was able to pick one with good bangs. I’m not normal a “ play line” fan, I’m a big IT collector, but I love the eyes on these dolls and the fashion and accessories are really cool!! I agree with you that the “ Rainbow High” theme is kinda basic and don’t think it’s as original as Monster High was. I’m hoping that maybe some of the play sets might have cool enough play pieces to use as props for more adult themed dioramas?! You gave such a great review that you have my interests peaked! We had pretty much moved on from collecting playlines religiously but RH has pulled us back in. I think Monster High was the gold standard and we appreciate companies trying again. I think RH playsets might be the right size for 1/6th scale. We have to see what they come out with. We just have to be okay with really bright and colorful dioramas haha. I’m glade you pointed out all the product in violets hair I hated it bc her hair wasn’t even put up in any sort of style or curls or anything just hanging down I feel like they wanted the hair with product to stay in front of her which might be why but without product you can easily get dolls hair to hang in front of them if you choose. I got the doll and instantly wet the areas with product in order to brush it out with the comb because I hated it!

The excess of product in their hair can be rough! But a simple conditioner-water spray + brushing worked wonders for ours! And there's always the boil wash option if you want to fully straighten it. :)

I love their eyes and shimmery skin, and I'm a really big fan of them coming with an extra outfit AND an extra pair of shoes. They're all beautiful, but my favorite is Ruby because red is my favorite color and because I think she has the most versatility and variety in her outfit pieces and shoes. A lot of them come with two similar outfits, like 2 skirts or 2 dresses, or 2 similar types of shoes, like 2 pairs of dressy heels or 2 pairs of sneakers, but Ruby has a skirt and a pair of pants, and a pair of more casual boots and a pair of dressy heels. She seems to have the most pieces, and potential for mix and match and being able to make casual outfits or dressy outfits. The second best in that regard is Sunny in my opinion, but her color scheme isn't as exciting. Maybe that sounds silly, but it was a big part of my decision on which one to buy, because extra outfits and shoes are important to me personally.

I love love love these dolls. I really like the curvyness to the dolls but my only complaint would be the shoes/clothes on some of the dolls. I found it really difficulty to change Poppy's boots to her strappy heels and removing clothing was difficult and stiff so changing outfits took awhile as I didn't want to damage anything. With regards to changing her boots to the heels I was worried that I was going to break the plastic trying to stretch it over her foot so although her heels are super cute with the butterfly's on them I am worried that changing them too often will eventually break the ankle strap. I was able to find most of the rainbow, but like everyone else I really wanted Jade and no where I lived had her in stock. I was able to order her online so I am waiting for her excitedly.

Considering the 2 complete outfits and articulation, I think these dolls are reasonably priced, and it further emphasizes how much American doll companies like Mattel and Hasbro cheap out. I liked Project Mc²'s fashions, proportions, and face sculpt variation more, but maybe this line will last longer. How long before we get the "school dance" wave that all high school doll lines tend to have.

I preordered Sunny yesterday at midnight, wasn't sure how quickly they would go. Super excited to have an articulated doll available for my friend's little girl when she comes over! I have an SD BJD, but she's to bulky and heavy for a six year old to play with.

Bratz are built very similarly to LOL OMG, so we imagine the Rainbow High clothes would fit them similarly! For pretty much all doll brands it can vary piece to piece. I'll maybe give it a try and share on Instagram at some point! -Max
