Honestly I’d prefer it if MGA would release fashion and accessory packs for the dolls. I’m not really down to buy such an expensive play set when all I want is more stylish and well made clothes for the dolls I love. I kinda hate how they’re winning with the strategy of releasing dolls with a change of clothing, so that consumers like me who love to dress dolls up in many outfits, wind up having to collect the series in order to have a good assortment of clothes to mix and match with. This is kind of the only thing that Barbie outshines Rainbow High in, which is sad, because I’ve fallen out of love with the lack of love put into the fashions for Barbie to wear.

I love this case! As an adult toy collector I like you mentioned the concern of parents not getting this for their kids with some of the higher price points coming out with Rainbow high. When I’ve been checking out new dolls in the toy isles I have been surprised with a lot of kids and parents flocking to the Rainbow High section more and more and that’s really cool. The more interest, the more cool products we will get for this line.

I had to wait my turn when I went to shop for them at Target. Lots of excited girls and their mons. I also noticed that Rainbow High has a lot more shelf space than Barbie. I love Barbie but Mattel needs to look at this company and take notes.

What scares me is the “I don’t care if it’s 60 dollars it’s rainbow high I need it.” Moments because I have them too and I don’t want me or others to normalize rainbow high overpricing things due to popularity but I can’t talk because I do just that

I’m not sure they are overpricing because of the brand name, or if this is related to inflation due to Covid issues such as a labour shortage and the shipping container crisis. Everything is going up, and it is going to last quite awhile, even if another variant doesn’t set us back again. I also play hobby board games, and they are talking about a 15% price increase. Still, it means I’m buying less because no one’s wages are going up 15%.

I feel it’s a mix of both right now mostly inflation due to the way the world is Once that’s settled mga seeing where willing to buy products for said price still allows them to price it that way because part of consumer goods is giving something a price propel will pay, and only lowering it when people won’t pay said price. But I can’t be talking as complaining over the price of fabric and plastic I don’t need to live snd still buy for said price is called privilege at that point.

I like it. It looks unique and I love that we get a piece of furniture. The clothes are just alright. I'm not totally sold on it, especially being outside the US where this stuff costs even more. I think I will wait for a sale.

I didn’t understand the price point on this in comparison to Avery who came with 2 wigs and clothes & shoes wasn’t that only $50? I know we get more shoes and 1 purse and 1 pair of earrings but I definitely need a sale since I really just want the contents the case and plastic chair aren’t necessary for me cause of space issues. 👍👍👍 yes I wish the clothes was more tops, skirts, pants and dresses I'm not super into jackets to be honest. I love the shoes. I also would love more purses and jewelry.

@@freyja6360 yes prices just seem very high like the RH car is $50 I saw a shelf tag for the Na Na Na camper at Walmart said $94 but I thought at Sweet Suite Toy Fair that I heard $74.99 🤷🏻‍♀️. I’m just being honest that I can’t justify spending $59.99 on this fashion closet I also didn’t preorder Jett because I don’t think she’s worth $57.99. But these are just my own personal opinions.

the price point is too high given that avery and her fashion closet was $50 and that collector doll jett is $58 USD. without a doll, this should be $45 at most. the clear plastic of it all isn't attractive to me either

I think they replaced a doll with indeed, the plastic of the closet itself. So I personnaly think the price evens out a bit.🙂 now I admit tho, it wouldnt of been much more plastic to add maybe at least one more pair of earings......🤷‍♀️

Clothing can fit barbies and hasbro disney and mlp dolls. Some of the shoes fits the hasbro Disney dolls too. So l guess it's worth a shot if you want to get it for other dolls.

Love the eyeshadow! Thanks for the vid I saw this in target today and all I could think was that’s NOT worth $60! But that case alone would be $15-20 and the knit pieces look quality. I like that this set looks less like ‘’ repeats” from the Avery set. I love the dress the rainbow pants and jackets. But $60 still seems a bit much but after seeing the piece I feel better about it. I feel like averys set had more pieces. I also like seeing fewer crop top pieces. I’m an adult collector but I feel so bad for parents, they’d have to take the hands off to change the clothes. I hope arm holes are a little bigger in the future to fix it.

I just purchased this RH Closet Trunk this week for $41.27 on Amazon. As an Adult doll collector the price point was great! I had already purchased the Fashion Closet that came with the Avery doll and clothing rack first and I loved that it came with a doll, wigs and clothing. So finding the RH Closet Trunk at such a great price was fantastic. It would be great if a doll was included. I’m glad you opened up the trunk and display everything. Thanks for sharing!

I hear and completely relate to a lot of the price concerns for toys. I’m assuming it’s definitely difficult for production right now due to the pandemic. It’s also good to keep in mind that toys are very much a luxury item. I think we forget that sometimes and take it for granted. Not to mention all the work that goes into these toys. If we like this quality it is going to have a price tag that covers not only someone hand sewing a lot of these garments but designing, material costs, shipping, and so on. It takes a lot of man hours, skill, and resources to put toys together so I understand the pricing. Another thing to remember is the quality we are getting from Rainbow High right now is eons above what we have seen from doll lines in recent years. So the price tag will reflect that quality difference.

I just bought this closet on sale for $40 on Amazon. I’m so excited! The clothes in this set look so cute. I just bought my Rainbow High Fashion Closet tonight and in my opinion it is deluxe! I was looking for a modern doll closet and it fits the bill. As for the $59.99 price, I bought home products from Target and received a $15 gift card as a promotion which I applied to this doll case. So I ended up paying only $45 which is worth it. Acrylic storage products are usually pricey and now I don’t have to mod something to make an awesome closet.

If you get scuffs and scratches on your closet you can use a product called “flitz polish” to buff them out using a microfiber cloth.

I was lucky with my closet, I managed to get it for $34.99! I saw it at Best Buy for that price, but they had sold out, so I decided to go to Target, I found one there for the $60 price, so, when I was checking out, I asked if they would price match it to Best Buy’s price and they did! 😁😁😁 My favorite shoes in this were definitely the purple sneakers, I am gonna so use those for Emi. 😁my favorite clothing items are definitely the black jeans with rainbow ribbons, and Poppy’s sweater dress.

I left my tag on mine. The only problem I seen was that at the door hinges, the base of one the inserts chipped off I guess when making it, and it let to a crack the bottom. I'm assumed it's from transit damage too but I ordered it thru drive up from an hour away so I will live with it. Even buying it full price and loving it, if possible, wait for any price if it is not %100 want. If you have hesitations, wait till its on sale. But only know that it may be harder to find and we don't know how many have been made with distribution. Its

I'm not sure about the clothes, but the shoes feel like a blend of the girls with their complimentary color-girl's influence. Like Ruby and Jade is harder to tell, but Sunny's shoes are bright but with a touch of the fashionista from Violet's, Violets showing her style with the loud rainbow Sunny is known for. Poppy with her 🦋 but a touch of Skyler's class, and Skyler's classy look with Poppy's more out there personality!

We’re going to have to adjust our expectations of what we get for a certain price. Covid-related factors, including a shipping container crisis, have caused inflation.
