I spent three days diving here in 2015 and fell in love. Glad to see it is still healthy and thriving. Thanks for all the great video!

How deep were you guys down? I’m going there in a few weeks but we’re only snorkeling cause my dad has a problem with his lungs, and I wanted to see if I could dive that far down. Which spot do you think is the best for snorkeling?
@mathieugagnon32305 жыл бұрын
Little late, but might help other. There is some really nice snorkeling and drift snorkeling in the Somo Somo strait. Fish market is a spot on the rainbow reef. The cabage patch accessible too by snorkeling.

Awesome dive site and awesome video! Thank you :) Did you use lamps or did you treat the colors with a software afterwards please?
@PawlikLab Жыл бұрын
Yes, I have video lights, or you wouldn't see the red end of the spectrum. I also use software (Premier Pro) to balance the colors afterward.

I spent two weeks in Fiji in 2006, diving each day. It was amazing! If you want to see the coral reef, you better get to the south Pacific while you can because the coral reef will mostly be dead over the entire planet in 20 or 30 years due to climate change.

Sadly, I think you are right.

Where exactly was this in Fiji? Thank you.
@PawlikLab6 жыл бұрын
East side of Vanua Levu, south shore - we approached from Taveuni Island, which is on the other side of the cut between the two islands, and were staying at a resort near Wairiki.

I’ve been doing some research for my next trip. I noticed the most beautiful reefs are closer to the Vanua Levu side, but divers stay on Tavenui island. Why is this?
@PawlikLab3 жыл бұрын
I think because that's where the dive operations are located.

Is this backlight photography? Amazing place ! Great video
@PawlikLab6 жыл бұрын
nope -- just a good camera and some strong LEDs to keep the color with depth.

Not sure what you're referring to -- looks great relative to most reefs these days!
