This video is so mysterious in its existence, like, what caused it? What sparked the idea of putting lyrics on double dash's rainbow road theme? My idea on what happened? An inside joke from friends of years past, maybe they played mario kart together and someone thought of singing to it. Then they sang it every time they played that level. It got stuck in their heads. Then, Mark Kump here thought of turning it into a video. Told his buds, they thought it was cool, and here it is. A product of bonding friends and good times from 2008. A time capsule of fun memories and buildup to this video. That is why this video is beautiful to me. Its a sign that the past wasn't so different, besides the number on the calendar. Or it coulda just been something he thought of on his own and went "heh, thatd be funny." who knows lol
