That's a great tip with the RCD and 25amp mcb. Here in Ireland we have had to use RCBOs to comply and they won't accept 100mA which solves the nuisance tripping.

Great videos mate, Im doing my solar course this week Ive watched loads of your vidoes and learning no end from you, so thanks for that. The need for a type B RCD as apposed to a type A to provide the AC supply to your inverter was mentioned yesterday, you said youve used a type A, is that because the manufacturer states it dosent require a type B? I was quoted by my wholesaler today around £200 for type B RCBO so if the manufacturers of the inverters are on top of this obviously that would be great. Im interested to hear your thoughts. Adam.

What are your thought's on slate limpets? We use them for slate jobs in the south East which are normally composite but for the natural slate in the north not sure how effective they are. FastenSol have a MCS accredited limpet which we have been using which is entirely made form metal. Its good but I think for brittle slate like this it could just crack the tile. Keen to get your thoughts though?

Are you sure you need a generation meter? I’m paraphrasing but MCS says the customer should have easy access to figures, i.e their app. Now FIT is a thing of the past as far as I’m aware a MID meter is a thing of the past? Happy to be educated, but not even MCS could give me a clear answer on this, they just passed the buck….

I would love to see them go as I agree they really serve no purpose but we need one to allow us to generate an MCS certificate. The MCS certificate requires the meter details and start reading 👍
