The LARGEST Gold Discovery I've EVER found after 3 days in the bush!! (PART 3)

I'm returning to a river where I've sniped 70g of gold nuggets in just a few hours, with poor weather I was forced out early. I'll now be returning with more time and the weather on my side to see how much gold I can find. I'll be camped up in the bush for three days prospecting and exploring the area looking for rich gold deposits amongst rivers turns and bends. The old miners left some history behind that ultimately leads me to the largest gold discovery I've ever found.

Out of all the KZbin gold prospecting channels on KZbin, I think Tassie Boy's Prospecting is best and the number one gold prospecting channels on my list. All the rest of the channels lie somewhere behind Rob Parson's gold prospecting channel, which is second to only Levi, only because I've been with Tassie Boy's Prospecting the longest. G'day from W.A. Levi. The difference between the water worn & rough gold tells me that somewhere not too far from your upstream finds the gold is still shedding from a reef or washing into the creek from a decayed reef. @@user-kg8tq7lj2r. No the geography of WA is unlike Tasmania but the principles of gold or minerals shedding from reefs to creeks, rivers & alluvial plains is the same. I have not done "sniping" like Levi & Rob do but I have done a reasonable amount of sluicing & pan washing. Mostly in Victoria back in the 1970s & a smaller amount here in W.A. in the late 1990s early 2000s. There are quite a large number of creeks & rivers in the South West but many are inside National & State Parks & Nature Reserves. If you're local in WA I suggest you might try the abundance of creeks & streams throughout the Darling Scarp. Many are running only in winter so perhaps "Googling" potential areas beforehand would be helpful. Searching the mines dept records of gold discoveries & Cancelled Gold Mining Leases & Tenements can also give up forgotten locations worth checking out. I have some extremely helpful books including Gold & Ghosts Volumes 1+2 by D.W.de Havelland which are full of large amounts of information of the above but a quick look at WA Tenement & Lease maps will show that the whole State, apart from the far N/W is taken up. I suspect that the entrepreneurs & "Stock Market Miners" hold many of the leases & do not work them but simply "trade" them as a means of making money.

Thanks insane Levi! You know what, I hunt Durban with a pulse down in the tiny old beach coves in South Africa.. This week alone my diving mates have found maybe 20 gold rings. Most people get jealous when guys find gold, but I get so stoked when my mates find gold rings. Keep it up pal! So awesome to see! I do have a question, do you keep your gold or sell it. I regret selling my gold as I find them. I have been doing it for almost 8 years.

I live in the heart of the California Gold Rush in the USA. I have worked these rivers for years. The rivers here were diverted with wood flumes up on the banks so they could divert then drain the river and get EVERY rock and boulder out using Steam Donkeys to lift the rocks out of the river. The rivers have filled back up with debris since then (125 years). There are virtually no nuggets to be found at all just small little flat flakes. These guys and the Chinese miners that came after them used brooms to literally sweep all the gold up from the guts of the rivers. My question is why did the miners leave so much gold behind where your mining? I mean that's just easy pickins. Anybody have any ideas why? Your rivers are smaller and easier to flume and the bottom of that river should have been bare when they were done. Rivers don't replenish themselves that much even after more than 100 years. Especially larger nuggets like your finding. Very perplexing to me.
