Hey Levi Your video creation skills have improved dramatically since you started your channel. Your film choreography, editing, dialogue etc. all are first rate. It is a shame that the local forest authorities cant see the value you provide sharing the beauty of back county Tasmania with your 100K+ subscribers. Many of us will never have the opportunity to visit Tasmania and seeing it through your eyes is a true blessing. Keep doing what you love mate and don't let the authorities beat you down. Most people don't realize how tuff the old timers were . Pick and shovel is a hard life . No modern day conveniences . It's a good thing to revisit history so it's not forgotten and a honorable quest to find a old miners last resting place . Great video thanks. Happy Holidays from the central valley of California USA .

Levi, Thank you for yet again another quality film. The effort you put into this is remarkable. It baffles me why the gubberment aren’t supporting what you (and Rob) do. Show casing the beauty Tasmania has to offer. Our history will be lost, all because some inner suburban knobs don’t want a few sticks moved. From me and mine to you and yours Merry Xmas and may you have a safe and prosperous 2024.

Hello bro, that expedition you did trying to locate that important history of mining that laid the foundations of what Tasmania is today is impressive. 110 years ago and you were able to find part of the cave and remains of the camps, it's a shame that you couldn't find Mr. William's tomb. It was also all very interesting, thank you very much for sharing that with your followers, we greatly appreciate all the effort.

Mate this is a fantastic bit of history, I felt your exhilaration when you found the entrance of the tunnel and then to find the other end possibly buried and lost in time from ol Mother Nature! Must of been a bit of a kick in the guts in a way , hope u go back in and find the grave site , I’ve walked the bush in very remote areas myself in some of Australia’s most geographically steepest country so I have an understanding of what it takes to do it alone , I’m much older now and my physical injuries prohibit me sojourning like I once did , hat off to you young fella and the best of luck next trip in for the grave! Oh and merry Christmas Levi cheers Wrighty 🍻🎄🙏⭐️🇦🇺 keep up this journey of yours on KZbin mate it’s great someone is keeping our cultural history alive for generations to come!

Your editing skills are well to be honored. If we can help push you to stand up for your freedoms, I can only promise I will push from here as well. I’m sure you don’t but I let you know months before your queens gold video she was already passed. I’m here to let you know. You are now in power. YOU are the power. This world is changing and you have a captive audience that will be more than you can handle soon. Stay true to your self and your beautiful family. Just keep pushing on. There will be a way. He will guide you. May God Bless you and your family at this time of year. And please be safe out there you have love waiting. 😉 now go get that gold. WWG1WGA 🇺🇸🇦🇺

Visited Tassie for 6 weeks this month. Travelled back roads only and did NOT visit any National Parks in support of your's and Rob's cause. We stayed 6 nights at Luina near the lovely Madeline Creek which runs into the Whyte River. We were in awe of the impenetrable forest. Impossible to use a detector. I did do some sniping without success of finding gold but definitely could see tiny flecks of either tin/osmiridian. We wernt game to bush bash to find detectable ground. Just too thick. Deep gullies. Scary. We have learnt so much about Tassie history watching your's and Rob's videos. You are both ambassadors. NPWS cant seem to see the benefit. Have a great Xmas with your beautiful family🌲 Best wishes for 2024.

Thanks for dragging us along, Levi, I have done similar exploring around the west coast of the south island in New Zealand and seen similar stacked rocks and oar cartwheels mixed up in caved in, debris. What a great and interesting adventure TFS Levi. When you were looking for the grave I noticed something by the trees at timestamp 26:26 and is in frame till 26:34 ... It looks like a cross behind the one tree and I wonder if you found the gravesite without finding it. It looks like it's on it's way down the ravine, possibly flood waters over the last 100 years bury it and re-expose it ... Hmmm 🤔I hope you get to see this and check it out.

I really enjoyed this one. It's sad that governments and businesses seem to think that by controlling historic sites is preserving them. I think that allows them to degrade faster because mother nature has an easier time reclaiming these areas. Without humans helping hands on, the jungle will take over. So sad to loose this. Thanks again.

I love this relic hunting style of video! Nice one Levi. My opinion on the tunnel is that they would have cut it square under the hill. It's not an adit chasing a lode so the old timers wouldn't have dug any more rock than they needed to. My experience hunting for mining relics and tunnels around the Adelaide hills is that you can be basically right on the entrance and not see it for the overgrowth. (I've found some pretty cool old stuff on public land here, that is rarely if ever visited 'cos it's almost impossible to spot). But its also likely the entrance to the diversion tunnel has filled in from floods, being on the outside of the bend in the river where you were looking.
@johnwitte551
@johnwitte551 Жыл бұрын
they would have cut the tunnel on an angle to make it easier to divert the river,! Its harder to make water do a 90% turn.
