The Old Timers Smelled like Old Timers.. (of the land) most likely why the tiger's would come into camp. You guys smell of new worldly sents.. having a party in front of your camera traps before setting them for the night is where you're going wrong... sent is a huge part of hunting..

I would say the thylacine is extinct the so called modern day photos are obviously digitally edited to look like the original Tasmanian tiger ,back in the days of film a photographer with the right skills in the late 20th century could produce a photo to look like a original tassie tiger .The thing is no one has managed to catch one for over eighty years the last one shot in the wild was back 1932 and the last one died in a zoo in 1936.So I reckon they are extinct.

they do exist

@Tasmanaut they only exist in the minds of those who won't accept scientific fact ,that is the Thylcean or tassie tiger is extinct .People can go on photo shopping their photos all they like it won't change the reality that these animals are extinct.

Levi, love your videos. Just an idea. I always take a few Rehydration Sachets with me. Just add water. It's a trick I learned in PNG when we had a few episodes of similar events. They work faster than the Magnesium and contain a wider range of essential minerals than the old mag tablets. Kurt might have benefited from taking one these.

A Yowie took your cameras. And the the Tassie tiger was alive and well 17 years ago at Stath Gordon. Both are alive and real. Take from it what you want or leave it. Simple.
@macheifach6 ай бұрын
About those tracks in the sand. I wonder, how the Thylacine actually would walk. My thinking is: What if the front paws make a print first and the back ones land in the already existing front paw prints? For example (not 100% sure of this), when you look, how a cat walks casually through the snow, the paws land in the already existing prints, there are no separate prints for its' four paws. Maybe that could be the reason, why you have sometimes four claw marks and sometimes five in the same prints (since the small, fifth one looks very small and leaves a mark only sporadically).
@macheifach6 ай бұрын
As someone, who has mountains basically around the corner, I don't think, I would enjoy the Tasmanian Wilderness too much, so, I really enjoy you exploring those wild lands instead of me but what I find actually extremely inspiring, is your demeanor, the way you're able to stay calm and composed and reassuring, it reminds me, to be more aware of those things, as someone, who falls too easily out of balance.

So next time you all go out like this bring some dehydrated bananas. Now the way I do it is to cut them lengthwise. They take about 10 to 12 hours. they will not be crispy. There will be soft like a fruit roll-up. An amazing sweet treat plus a lot of potassium you can get in your body quick. I've eaten a half dozen bananas in 10 minutes before not realizing it cuz I was just snacking away.
@HoodaThunkit-sj3lk6 ай бұрын
Male Thylacine had pouches too. Their pouch also faced backward, like the female, but for the males it was to protect their junk while they ran through the low-lying Y-shaped myrtle. If they evolved to adapt to that environment, that may be a good place to look for them. Isn't evolution great!

@Tampafan335 ай бұрын
The only way to look out for the tiger is to try to find mates and mass breed it before it really does go extinct. Even if they somehow survived they’d be extremely endangered. Imagine being the person to just not say a thing to conservationists and rescuers only for a fire or something to wipe out the rest. You’d have to be smart about it obviously but you’d have to try to save the species

Amazing trip fellas. I don’t understand what the trail on the footprint is. It’s definately there, but in looking at old thylacine footage of it walking, the rear part of the foot pad or ‘backward bending knee’ boesn’t actually touch the ground. Still a mystery but the thylacine looks like the most likely culprit to me.

I saw something just after Xmas day, around 6pm walking across the Gravel road 5mins from Marawah shop. Long legs, lean, long tail went to the ground and curved up, tall - it’s back around knee height, no black strips tho looked like all tan colour, stomach tucked up like a grey hound, graceful walk. I thought the body was like a huge cat jaguar, leopard, jungle cat but the tucked up stomach was so weird. If it’s not a TAS tiger with very light stripes then someone smuggled in some kind of wild animal. Wish I thought to stop and take a photo of the tracks, been looking at plaster mould to carry around if I ever see something again
