Ray, I had to replace a transverse mounted trans once for the first time. I was following a book and as dumb luck would have it, I tried for about two hours to get the trans out pulling it up. I called my brother and told him I couldn’t get it out. He said, Did you remove the sub frame? I looked through the book and that was remove all necessary parts, I guess. So, I supported the engine from the top, dropped the frame and trans, put the new one in. I didn’t disconnect the radiator, AC, or any of the multitude of cables on top. It took me 8 hours to get it back on the road. Not bragging, just stating what happened.

I'd pay someone to do it (like they did Ray) and it got done, but might not be the most efficient. My hubby used to be able to drop entire rear engine air-cooled Chevy Corvair powertrain, mounted with 3 bolts to reinforced unibody mounting points/rear motor support, including axles wheels/tires/hand parking brake cables link to enter equalizer cable...only a few attachments like main fuel line, ground straps, positive battery cable to starter, etc. in about an hour on a tranny jack! Of course there were variants like AC, turbo units, manual shaft shifter link to dash. or automatic cable to dash, but no major electronics/computer systems in those days of the time he began with DeltaAirline buddies' initial how to instruction in mid-70s...one note of interest is that the transaxle differentials were made of cast iron with specific design differences in manual, or automatic gear ratios, even late models for the first two or so few years could be RPO'd ordered for Positrac option...some of interior components were variant patterns of the earliest Camaro, like seats, door hardware, wheels, wheel covers with only the center emblem changes.... Chevrolet has always been good about interchange- ability with its other GM "cousins"You could even upgrade amp rating of alternators to built in voltage regulators from later back half Chevy mated to pulley end of stationary Corvair mounting pints to timing to cast aluminum rear engine cover that housed oil pump gears , fuel pump, crank/cam gears, distributor...now, certain '65-'69 engine configurations are being sought for E.A.A. gas-powered custom design General Aviation aircraft! So, no surprise that two oddball mfg got together for products like your Jeep... Japan and Germany did that for a short time post-WWII

Nice vid Ray. I once worked in a transmission shop doing only R & R , really liked the job. I've also have the same Jeep and they recommend changing the fluid at 50k. It's only got 31k on a 2016.
