That insulation is a lot. Is that to keep the cold out I live in Australia I have to keep the heat out I want to have a 4 1/2 gap between my container and my cladding so the hot air can vent out. What are your thoughts on this thank you

Yes, the example in the video is to keep the warm air in and the cold air out. The physics is the same whether you want to keep the cold out or in. The condensation begins when the dew point temperature is reached where the cold contacts with the warm moist air. Insulation and ventilation in the correct location and quantity will help with controlling where that dew point is reached.

You need to do your research. That thin 25 gauge Home Depot hat channel should never be used for exterior cladding. You need at a minimum 20 gauge structural with 33 KSI. Get your facts straight

@ 4:13 the wooden planks glued to the exterior, are they also screwed into place somehow? Or just glued? Do you think just with being glued they can withstand decent winds? I'm thinking of putting some wood siding on a storage shed container for decorative purposes. I'm considering using a construction adhesive but figured the wood panels wouldn't be secured in place to withstand decent winds with just glue....but maybe I'm wrong?

Here are a couple of videos that talk about the glue other people use to attached wood onto shipping container walls: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIvPiYVqrc6mhqs kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGLYeXSojrpnqZI
