Awesome. The govt should make it mandatory and also do regular audit to ensure that rain water harvesting is done. If not done, the property tax should be tripled. The govt should also ensure that such a setup is present in all its govt buildings.

The problem in India is that all the laws of the country can fit the size of a large library. But neither does the government implement its own laws nor do builders bother to implement the rules during construction. The biggest issue is corruption. One can beat one's chest in bravado of a 'rising India' or a '5 trillion economy' etc etc. Unless basic amenities, including water conservation, sewage, drainage and urban greening, are taken care of, India will have increased spells of scorching temperatures, water shortages, frequent flood and water logging.

Your idea is good, but shall we wait for the media? Especially when they only bother for a TRP generating Masala News. We these have social media in our hands. Rather we shall spread by sharing such videos and links. I would also bring attention to another problem and to share the videos/ links related to "Environment Recharge", yes though Planting and Protecting Plants and Trees

In today's hypocrite world, take media as agent of establishment in power... general public is being made to pay thru nose , all the time in every sphere of life on daily basis...ppl r being divided on different line, caste, religion, economic-educational status....by creating co op husng society concept administration is already absolving/reducing it's financial responsibilities...while avoiding equal compensation to voters who r additionally bearing this burden apart from other regular taxes, charges fees, duties, levies...etc etc

Rain water is Zero TDS naturally distilled water, hence is ideal for drinking. If the catchment area (terrace area from where rain water is collected) and tanks are properly cleaned, I suppose you can safely use the water for drinking. Again as shown in the video the filter media contains Charcoal which acts as water purifier. Thus making such a water fit for drinking. Nice presentation. My question is was this system installed during original building construction phase or later?

Exit pipe should be some ward up so that water will not go directly out from the exit pipe here in this video where their is a filter pit at their water coming form first pit box to second pit box first pit pipe exit pipe should be lower the exit pipe of drain
