Yes, I know Cape May too. Our 19th century favorite for Presidential vacations. Atlantic City came a bit later, and was much more ‘democratic,’ as it were.

What a beautiful story! Must find out how that piano got up there. I thought once upon a time of being a college English professor living my life buried deep into books and the worlds they created. You created a little world that is indeed the one I crave the early 60’s was even a treat of my innocent precocious childhood where I now see that child much differently then before your influences.
@yonitznkc Жыл бұрын
Maybe they had to open up a wall or window wide enough, and then hoisted it up in there? Or maybe they could take it apart?
@larrymarcus3176 Жыл бұрын
@@yonitznkc it’s an upright so it can be separated from base. I’m just repeating what Michelle questioned in the story. Now if it was a baby grand they would have to knock a wall down or build the house around it. But it it’s all a story so lots of things beyond the scope of reality an happen it’s early 60’ s after all
@MichellesSanctuary Жыл бұрын
It's always amazing what people will do to get that piano where they want it (I've witnessed this so many times in these old walk-ups in the city). I'm glad you enjoyed this little world-- it's one I've longed for. I often feel that certain eras resonate with certain seasons-- the plaid and tweed and New England towns always seem to remind me of fall.

Wait 19th century was in 1801 to 1900, so if we are in the 1960s it's the 20th century because we are the 21st century since 2001

You’re totally right. I had it hopping around from the 19th century (when Melville had his parlors) to the 20th century when you visit. I should have made that clearer.

Agreed. It sounds AI 😢 these used to be so soothing to me, but this new speed and robotic sound is very off-putting
@MichellesSanctuary Жыл бұрын
@@CheSmith01 I'll keep this in mind going forward. Sorry you're having this experience. In terms of word length of my script and finished recording, these are exactly the same length as stories have always been. I'll look into it more. As for robotic sound? Not sure how to affect that. Again, I've been using the same microphone and set up for years.
