Hello friends,
Can you believe it’s already November, and the year is almost over? Time truly flies. Lately, I've been spending a lot of quiet moments in my kitchen, baking and experimenting. I’ve been on a little quest to find the perfect German brötchen recipe. I’ve tried so many, but I still haven’t found one that’s just right. There’s always something missing-whether it’s the taste or that satisfying crunch. So today, I’m trying a new recipe, hoping this one will bring me closer to that crispy, golden perfection.
Along with the brötchen, I’m also baking some chocolate chip cookies for a dear friend of mine who was in a car accident recently. Thankfully, she’s okay, but it’s a reminder of how important it is to check in on the people we care about, especially during tough times. My friend is one of the kindest, most generous people I know-always going out of her way to help others. She’s the kind of person who would do anything for anyone, no questions asked.
Baking these cookies may seem like such a small thing, but I truly hope it will show my friend that I’m thinking of her and, in some way, bring her a little joy.
I hope you enjoy this quiet, cozy baking session with me today. It’s a simple way to slow down, reflect, and appreciate the little things that make life sweet.

You have a gorgeous kitchen! Also that looked like sourdough starter and I have tried once to do it but couldn’t get it right because I was bringing it around with me- because of travel .
