Joe Louis, a name eternally held in the highest regard. Regardless of a person’s age, religion or race, in his time he was beloved by all. The ‘Brown Bomber’ reshaped the world, and his tragic legacy is inscribed in American history.

Thare are several things that this documentary didn't mention. No fault to rainy day boxing. His greatness was just to much for any one video. After boxing, Joe Louis tried to play pro golf but black people weren't allowed so he made some phone calls and changed golf forever. There is no tiger woods with Joe Louis. During the great depression he gave all of his earnings away. (Likely saved many lives). Joe Louis helped Jackie Robinson and many others get a better role in the military. Through this, he became friends with Jackie Robinson and inspired/gave him the courage. To become the first black baseball player. Joe Louis befriended Sonny Liston and tried to help him fix his reputation. Louis was always nice and respectful to Muhammad Ali despite Ali constantly berating Louis image in public. Joe Louis lost a great deal of friends and family throughout his life. His dad was put into a mental institution wich Joe himself would be put into in his late life. Joe Louis left his original home/plantation of sorts he left his Friends who were likely killed do to racial tension in that area. And many more. Joe inspired almost every black sports legend after him.

One thing I did notice about Joe Louis. Most of the time when he knocked somebody out, they weren't getting up at ten, or twenty, or thirty. Check out the tape of what he did to James Braddock and Max Baer. He hit Max bears brother, buddy bear, so hard that he spun him in a complete circle. Buddy was 6-6 and 260.

The great boxing historian Bert sugar , who saw most of the good boxing champions from the 50s through the 2000s... He put Joe Louis #1 and Ali #2. I will use the number of title defenses and the number of victories over good opponents to his advantage. To even get his title shot, he had to go through a number of ex-champions. Joe Walcott was an amazing fighter. Walcott at 40 plus years old, nearly knocked out Rocky Marciano. Joe Lewis never lost to someone twice. His adjustments were insane.

And keep in mind, if the government and the corporate overlord masters didn't care about Joe Louis, then they definitely don't care about me and most of us. We must have that Money Mayweather mentality because we all got to go get ours since you can easily end up like Joe Louis. How he breathing will tell you all you need to know. And then the old timer walks away. And you stand there thinking you just heard the voice of God.
