"So close!" was an automated response option. That's irrefutable proof that YT thinks you were not first. Can't argue with facts. Haha.

@@MasonWoodshop I’m glad! It really doesn’t require a ton of tools. A cheap HF welder, a helmet, vest, gloves, angle grinder and you’re off! It does help to have a chop saw to cut stuff but you can do it with an angle grinder to start.

So cool. The tiger wood is beautiful. Love the mix of metal and wood.

I fell in love with tigerwood after having used it on my driveway gate. It holds up really well for ourdoor projects if finished with something penetrating like teak oil. And it ages into a nice rich color. Thanks for watching! I'll definitely be mixing wood and metal in the future :)

@@WoodcraftBySuman good to know it holds up well outside. Your editing is on point by the way!

@@o.g.bwoodwork Apparently untreated, they're good for about 20ish years of outdoor exposure. Protected, they're much better over time. I've only had the gate for about a year but zero signs of weathering on it so far. Thanks for the kind words on editing!

Another great video. Love the welding. I bought a welder years ago and still haven't used it. Maybe I should get that out and just go for it.

Haha. Thanks for checking out my stuff, Scott! Glad you liked the video. I was def nervous about the fit Bc I legit measured it once and carried forward with the welding. If it didn’t fit, i would have been in big trouble.

Whoa! Woodcraft by Suman turned into Metalcraft by Suman! I love the inspirational message of making metal work marry with wood so attainable for mere woodworkers! Well done, Suman!

Making steel stick together is easier than baking a pie. The first spark is the hardest because everything in your body goes "oh sh*t!" After that, it is smooth sailing. Glad you enjoyed the video!

turned out absolutely beautiful, wood combined with metal is always stunning! 😍 thanks for the speech about the welding basics. i'm super interested getting into welding but some strange fear always held me back. thanks for allaying some of this fear. 😀👍
@WoodcraftBySuman3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! The fear is 100% justified. Being that close to electrical sparky INTENTIONALLY is is not natural. As long as you're wearing PPE and you learn a little about techniques, its a highly practical skill for not just woodworking but fixing random stuff around the house if/when needed. Cheers!
