Raised Text Sign VCarve - Carbide Create

First time using Expanded PVC, and go over making a raised Text and VCarve Sign in Carbide Create with all features available in the free version.
This was all cut out on my LongMill, and got the feed up to 1,300mm per minute. I think it could go even faster, just need to experiment some more on speed and feeds.

Great video. Learned 2 new things today. Changing text to vector, although I'm not sure if it's in the free version. Will have to look. Also didnt know about adding x0.00 and y0.00 to rehome.

@@D.E.Hammer shame Carbide 3D don't automatically add the return to zero at the end of their carve sequence in the Post Processor. Shame they also don't allow access to it to make personalised alterations!

In newer versions it maybe possible to add post code, have not looked into it as old habits die hard.

Great Video! Love anything Star Trek! I am new to CC and the newest release version 648 threw me a few curve-balls and now thanks to your video my questions are answered. I guess you painted the gold/silver on the sign after? Looks awesome!

Thank you, and I am the same when it comes to Trek. Yes the gold & silver were painted last. I painted the pvc board, then oramask, cut, then painted the different parts.

when you put Home position in the middle of the project in CARBIDE CREATE and saved the Gcode, when i open the project in Candle, will the home position will show in the middlle?
