I’ve watched all three of your tutorials and I must tell you that you explain how to use carbide create very well, I now feel like I’m ready to go out and make my first cut tomorrow. Thank You so much for your video’s.

I just this video. Pretty good. Nice pace and good info. To duplicate your rectangle for the EST., Hold down ctrl C, then ctrl V. THEN....use your ARROW key to move it where you need to. Good CNC Machining and Design tries to reduce time in both manufacturing and design time. Accuracy id the schizzle!

Thanks! We are looking forward to doing this soon. Can you pause a job when its a long process and continue on later, like the next day?

Great video! Thanks. The pocket removal had me stumped until your video. I was not highlighting the entire sign!

Thank you! I am going to design and make one tomorrow! BTW...just a small tip for creating those border rectangles that go before and after the Est. date...once you have your first rectangle made and sized properly, just hit control c and it makes a duplicate for you! Then you can put it over in place. Thanks for your tutorials!

I made a test sigh after watching your excellent video, and all went well except when it came to tool the change. The machine stopped moving after it carved the letters but the machine did not return to the tool change position for the pocket cut, I had to initialize the machine to raise the router and create a new file to finish the project. Have you any idea where I went wrong,I just cannot figure it out ? I am happy with the machine other wise.

Is carbide create all i'll need if i want to do signs? I've been told about VCarve and others but they are expensive. I just want to like engrave names on wooden toyboxes and that sort of stuff. Thanks!

I noticed that your contour control box looks different than mine. I don't have a graphic and don't have a pocket click area to choose from.

I don't know if shapeoko can do this but you can increase feed speed to make it a lot faster

Hi! I have a lot of troubles creating the toolpaths and I want to know if maybe you could help me. I am a very very newbie in this, I work in a jewelry store and my boss bought the carbide machine with no knowledge in cnc. I did exactly what you said (with other text) but when I tried to do the contour toolpath, something happens that the toolpath is nothing as you have. I'm using the same tool #102 1/8 and I'm careful about the deep and everything, but I just can't create the toolpath. Thank you

Newbie here....what if I want to make a sign without the raised lettering? Can someone point me in the right direction, I've searched all over on how to carve just a simple (inlay) sign. Gotta start somewhere.
@dagragg3 жыл бұрын
I do epoxy inlay’s by just v-caring the text with a 60 degree v-bit. Works great! I haven’t ever done any wooden inlays.

How do you add milk shake font to Carbide create?
@dagragg4 жыл бұрын
Excellent question! I downloaded the font from a free font website which will show up your recent download folder. You will then install it on the PC. It should show up in Carbide Create after that but it may take awhile and custom fonts can be difficult to find in CC. I'll try to do a video on this soon. I need to refresh it in my mind because its been awhile since I've added a custom font. Thanks for the question. If I didn't do a good job explaining it stay tuned for the video!

oh gosh, three hours cut? any way to speed this up? Was going to follow your step by step but now I'm like ehhhhh 😬
@dagragg4 жыл бұрын
This is with the pre programmed speeds and feeds which are always on the conservative side. You can adjust those to make it go faster or you can adjust the depth. These signs do tend to take awhile though.
