I swear this video gave increased my win rate by 1bb/100 overnight! Excellent content, there's nothing more valuable than hearing two top tier minds discussing approaches, specially in these funky spots. Typical highlight videos never show this kinda stuff, and it's this stuff that makes or breaks a player in the long run. I just wish it wasn't free for everyone to watch! :0

in my oppinion check call flop JQs if you check flop with AA KK ure check calling to try rep AK if you check QQ JJ 1010 you cant reasonably value check raise unless you are exploiting a bet sizing tell so when you check raise you are logically turning ure hand face up as a bluff or 88 99 that i would assume slowplay so id rip pretty much any gutshot or backdoor draws and flat call to stack off with any value hand on the turn on blanks only vs good regs as they play in a predictable logical way i agree with check range on the flop ure check raise is very exploitable

the problem on ch/r on first hand is exaclt what happend, if you hit, you cant really continue for value, so for me is a clear ch/c on flop. cbet is not nice also because we cant really 2 barrel a lot and our outs are not clear or clean, and we cant cb ch/c on turn, so ch/c on flop is for me for sure the most logical play here. Dont think we need to mix that a lot because we have a natural ch7c range there that villan cant do much about it, so no harm on ch/c ch/f this hand most of the times. also on ch7c ch/c we play perfect against his range when we hit on the turn, but on cbet + check or bet we dont (on bet + check we do most times for sure, but even hiting the J is no clear), and in ch/r + bet o check (like here) we also dont.

i don't understand why qj should not be a bet on turn? we can just bet small an get plenty of value by his 9xs 8xs pairs, KQ KT. there are also not alot of Jx that beat us. unless Kjss and some low FQZ Ajo (which i think fold vs xr at mid fqz). Imo its a bet turn. and bet river on clean river runnout with that small spr on the river if bet. Ive run similar sims last couple of days. i encourage u to do the same :D thanks for the vid

Great hand review. I love it when 2 big poker minds come together. I have 1 question though. I am struggling with choosing bet sizes for bluffs and value as an exploit. At 26:26 you say that villain is supposed to call weaker than Kx. And if he doesn't your bluffs are printing. I understand that. And I understand that you want to choose the same size for your bluffs if you don't want to get exploited in the future. In MTTs though. You will never see some opponents again. Do you think it is a viable strategy to use a size where people would fold weaker than Kx with your bluffs. And bet like 75% of the bluff size for value in order to get calls from weaker than Kx combos? Am I missing something?

(for stakes up to about 20$) opponents probably wont pick up on what you do since HUDs don't have data on betsizing, they don't meet you regularly and they are multitabling , and are not very serious about poker anyway against most of them it makes sense to bet bigger, not smaller, with value, because most of them play for fun and hate to fold any decent hand. and you still can bet small with the hand bencb has here cause 9/10 times they wont notice that you size bluffs smaller than value if you use a HUD you can set a number of hands in mind at which point you stop exploiting this way, cause they probably are 'regular' players and might start to figure you out a little disclaimer : i am not a pro ps if you are playing higher stakes i suggest getting Raise Your Edge
@Jeroeny4 жыл бұрын
@@sdev8317 thank you for taking the time to react. I probably should have given more information. I was not really talking about exploiting recs this way. I do agree with the strategy you mention there. It was more to target regs that play up to 109s. I don't really expect a lot of these players to pick up on a specific strategy like this. Especially not when they multitable. Also I am not 100% sure you understood what I meant. So for example. People should call a pot bet on the river with 33% of their range. But if people overfold. You get less value with your value hands. Therefor my plan was to size down a bit to get more value from the hands that they would overfold to a pot sized bet. I feel this is especially the case when I overbet. People give you a lot of credit. And I am afraid that I loose value with my value hands this way. With my bluffs on the other side. I can keep potting or overbetting in spots where people overfold. Because here it is actually good if people fold their value hands vs bluffs. I think this could be a good strategy. But I would love Ben or Jordan to fire on this thought process. Because maybe I open myself up to much to get exploited. And then it becomes expensive. Ps: I use RYE and a HUD.
@sdev83174 жыл бұрын
@@Jeroeny yeah this strategy makes perfect sense to me at those stakes. i thought you were asking a question here instead of on RYE discord because you didn't have the cash yet to buy RYE. if you haven't heard about their discord i suggest you check it out. GL on the tables !

Normally i do agree on almost every approach you have on those analysis spots. But this must be the first time, where I basically just totally disagree on "how to play this spot" (meaning turn and river on the first hand). I am wondering how do you come to the assumption that it is so difficult for him to have natural bluffs in this river spot. I mean u checked the turn after check raising the flop. It almost always tells your opponent that u have somewhat of an marginal hand - which makes it super easy to just merge so many hands on the river for the in position player... Esspecially when the backdoor flush comes in...

Yep, even if the guy has $1M+ cashes and is a professional coach and HS reg (as he is), Bencb's methodology is to treat the entire field as passive fish who never bluff. Wonder why he gets killed at $25k buyins.....
