It’s quite simple, don’t ever fly a chopper in heavy fog in mountainous regions if you want to live a long life. There’s a 99% chance that everyone on that helicopter is dead. This just happened a few months ago with Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton. It took them several days to find their crash and none of them survived.

I'll say this about the Iranians, There very resourceful and are smart enough that Iran is now the only country on Earth with a squadron of active F-14 tomcat they have kept them flying despite embargoes and no spare parts and the f-14 was a bitch as far as maintenance is concerned.
