Raisina Dialogue 2024 | Inaugural Session | Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and H.E. Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of Greece will inaugurate the Raisina Dialogue 2024.
The Raisina Dialogue is India’s premier conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics committed to addressing the most challenging issues facing the global community. Every year, leaders in politics, business, media, and civil society converge in New Delhi to discuss the state of the world and explore opportunities for cooperation on a wide range of contemporary matters. The Dialogue is structured as a multi-stakeholder, cross-sectoral discussion, involving heads of state, cabinet ministers and local government officials, who are joined by thought leaders from the private sector, media and academia.
The conference is hosted by the Observer Research Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. This effort is supported by a number of institutions, organisations and individuals, who are committed to the mission of the conference.

Opening remark of oldest & largest democracy is not appropriate...but two old democracies , with Bharatvarsh democracy being oldest , Greek PM should have studied 'Indica 'by his own Megasthenese. Many part of Bharatvarsh was already "ganarajya " much before maurya ( Ajatshatru, king of magadh had to fight against his own maternal father's democracy of Vaishali much much before magadh of Maurya dynasty). There were 11 Ganarajya at that time

Vajji is considered as the oldest Republic ,So the concept of leader being elected by the masses lies with Vajji(Modern Day Vaishali District ,Bihar). And in Greek civilization as well there was evidence of such a republic set up.As per historical facts Greek civilization and Indian Civilization by and large were contemporary so it can be quoted like that. Though earlier "Nation as a whole", concept was not as per say modern times definition of State,Over here there were many Tribal kingdoms in the Indian subcontinent.

I guess " licking the balls of dear leaders" should be theme of Raisana dialogue. That's what democracy in India looks like anyway. Compromised judiciary and election commission and absolute slave media doesnt make a healthy democracy. But i'll still pray for the better future of my motherland.
