Yes, I keep them in there at the same temp so they can be warm until their feathers start to come in.

Honestly, I don’t remember off top of my head. I’d still check to make sure it’s the same temp either way.

Until they have feathers on them. So they can keep warm, otherwise you can just take them out and add a heat lamp, that works too.

That was the dad, because I took the eggs away, they thought that the baby was not theirs. I put the baby in there to see if they would accept the baby and my assumptions were correct.

Yes I tried to see if the parents would accept their baby that was hatched from incubator, and they didn’t except it. So that’s when I knew I had to hand raise.

About 30 days. I just check it daily.

Reason I'm asking about this is because I currently have a egg that's day 14 and notice today the air cell is already tilted so I'm trying to figure out how long after that happens do they start pipping and hatching.

Get an incubator that is listed in my description below. Follow the guide that is comes with to set the correct temp and you should be set.

@@sandrakay26 - I don’t take it out until the babies hatched. I have two incubators, one for eggs to rotate and another (same one) for when they hatched. Sometimes eggs die for some reason, you never know.

Hey great video, as a beginner in raising these chicks should I be feeding them the hand feeding formula in a watery consistency rather than thicker consistency . Which will reduce the risk of indigestion?

Watery is safer for the younger ones, you can always transition to the thicker consistency later :)

I don’t take the thing out. I have a separate incubator (same one) for when the babies hatch. So I keep the eggs in one incubator then I check daily, and when I see one baby hatched I simply move it to the second incubator without the rotator. That way I don’t mess with the other eggs.

Mother cockatiels can attack or even neglect their babies! This is not cruel - it's creating friendly, loving companion cockatiels that will allow their humans to skritch and pet them. I hand raise lovebirds and budgies, and may start hand raising baby cockatiels as well since humans are more reliable parents than fickle bird parents. Nature is cruel and animals don't have consciences that tell them that neglecting or killing their babies is morally wrong - humans do! Animals have no real choice as they have the instinct to just do what is convenient and most beneficial to themselves and the other babies, while humans have the choice to do good or evil, to care for or neglect their own babies and other animal babies. So calm down.

I dont understand how somebody can be so cruel, to put an innocent tiny baby in a totally closed plastic box, or in a wooden box. Why have you done that to the baby, he could not even breathe in it. You put him together with eggs in a box while he was already out of an egg. I feel very sorry for the poor baby.

The babies need to be in the incubator until they have feathers, otherwise they'll freeze. It could absolutely breathe inside it otherwise it would have suffocated long before 20 days old.

It’s an egg incubator. It was MADE to raise chicks. So it obviously has holes to let some air circulate.
