I've lived with a step son with DMDD for 9 years and none of these strategies have worked at all, nor has medication and counseling. It has nearly destroyed our family.

Yes. My son is 11. Dx at 5-6. It’s so so so hard.

So is DMDD a more severe form of ODD?

Not necessarily but it may look similar. ODD may not necessarily present as angry. Sometime ODD kids can be as cool as a cucumber.
