I'm a mom of 6 - 13, 9, 8, 3.5, 2.5, and 6 months. I can tell you having a teenager in the house is the most fun and most terrifying thing all at the same time.. They know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING and for mine atleast, if it didn't happen on Snapchat, did it really even happen?! As far as you raising your sister at 11. That was alot of responsibility for sure. I never require my kids to do anything for their siblings unless they want to. If I would like their help, I ask them, and then compensate them in some way depending on their interests.. money, makeup, robux, Fortnite characters.. The chores we have in our home are only household tasks that directly relate to them (cleaning their room, folding their clothes) and anything that doesn't they earn money for.. It's work so well for me, as I am the primary caregiver, and most of the time they want to do things with and for their siblings bc there is motivation. I was an only child so this is new territory for me, so I hope I am making the right choices!

Wow your little sister is so like you, even her voice and laugh 😅 I looked after my little sister a lot from when I was 11. Then when I was 13 my little brother was born, and I was very involved with taking care of him for the first 6 years of his life. Then life stuff meant I had to move away. My mum was a childminder so I helped with babies and toddlers from a young age. Babysat for a lot of their parents from when I was 13. So before I went into childcare I'd already had a lot of experience with babies to young kids. I haven't any kids of my own but in a lot of ways I'm able to support my siblings and friends who have kids. For some of us its just in our nature to take care of little ones 🙃

@@dearleah7299 I agree, BUT in this case the commenter wasn't in the wrong. They weren't guilting Cam about leaving the house at night. They were simply saying that vocalizing that fact to the internet isn't a super great idea, as the internet is filled with creepy people who can take that information and use it for bad purposes. They were completely respectful and were simply providing constructive criticism. I think Cam is a fantastic mom and in most cases it's not anyone's place to comment on the way she parents, but when something could potentially harm her children I think it's good to speak out
