Your response to the “ I’m sure you weren’t perfect in the relationship either” comments was articulated so incredibly well. I was in an abusive marriage with my kids father for 10 years and his entire family would say these things quite often.. it made me believe at the time that his abuse was not as bad as it really was.. that I was a bad person who deserved it, etc.. I am 5 years out of that relationship now, but I wish I had this video to watch back then.

22:00 this is such an important message. thank you for saying this. it’s really crucial that people realise that a victim is also a human. they don’t sit there like a lifeless doll just being abused. we still had lives and we still made mistakes. however to compare a standard human action compared to violence is not fair. to make excuses for the abusive person by bringing up your actions is not fair. anyone can be a victim of abuse and we must listen to those who come forward but also keep a better eye on those who haven’t come forward yet and create a safe place for them

Have you ever read jennette McCurdy’s “i’m glad my mom died”? If you haven’t i think that this format would be good for you. It’s a very blunt title and of course i’m not saying you have to feel that way in any shape or form at all & of course jennette’s situation may be very different from yours but i wanted to mention it because i think that jennette’s story telling format was super impactful. I read it like 4-5 times. She really does a great job at highlighting how difficult it is to love somebody for so long who happens to be your abuser, and what it’s like when they’re gone & to have to rebuild your life. She tells her story from a few moments where her mother was close to passing, to the beginning moments of her childhood, through her teenage years, and the eventual passing of her mother. She goes into the aftermath of how the loss has affected her, going to therapy, realizing her abuse & her picking up the pieces. It wasn’t just about her mother, but it goes into how her childhood specifically family dynamics shaped her situation in adulthood. It was such a good book, and if you haven’t read it yet, highly recommend. Also Great video Cam ❤️

I think books reach a different audience and have a different impact than KZbin videos. They let you sit with them and reflect on your own life and take you out of your routine a bit. When Louise Pentland, another KZbinr whose videos I knew well, published Mom Life, her autobiography, she could talk about different topics in different ways in it and it touched me differently. Knowing about your story what I can know from watching you on KZbin, I am pretty sure a book, especially one that will reach people outside of KZbin, would have a lot of value. I don't think it would be any less responsible or effective than doing a KZbin series.

Respectfully, I think every life experience can turn into something good for a child. I would even dare to say a child needs everything God gives them. 🤗For instance, I think of several good things about moving so often - such as being comfortable with change (SO necessary now and in the future), not being afraid of the new, trusting yourself to adapt and make the best of every place and situation, rooting your identity in yourself rather than external circumstances, starting over, the courage to explore etc. etc. The same goes for any other life experience. Nothing means just one thing. Nothing is either black or white. There is so much more to life than what we come to understand or make of it. Every experience equips you with something valuable. Life is not perfect in the way we understand perfection. I doubt there is a parent out there who can give their children everything they want for their kids, and, if they do, it doesn't mean they're also giving their children everything they need. Trust your love for your kids, be kind to yourself and go on with your life❤

Wow, these questions really shock me. It could be because I'm older that I just understand that you're a young woman figuring life out and it just happens to involve a camera. Many people move a lot when they're young. Many people take time to figure out their sexuality. Many people struggle to figure out how to negotiate an abusive relationship. Maybe it's because you present such a put together persona that people have no concept that you could be struggling. Hugs to you. You're doing your best and those girls have a wonderful mom.

You could also make a documentary about your life instead of a book, you know, something very professional (maybe look for a team to help you, people with experience on directing documentaries). Your story is very interesting and i'm sure a lot of people in the field would want to help you to make it happen.

I realize that your generation needs to label everything but your sexuality is not meant to be labeled. Just be you and know that you don't have to explain yourself! Even as a someone with a youtube or social media platform. We will deal with childhood issues our entire lives. Growth is the best way forward. Loving yourself and learning to move forward in growth is the greates and hardest relationship ever. I wish you the best Cam. ✌❤🌍

cam i feel the exact same way about the sexuality stuff, i think you explained it so well!
@tahliajayde261 Жыл бұрын
okay. but im in the exact same like the EXACT same situation as you regarding sexuality! I've tried th exact same labels and age wise all the same here except im 23. that's nuts, thanks for sharing honestly you don't owe it to us, I couldn't imagine being strong enough to share with everyone, but just know its made a difference at least for me. im back to square 1 where I'm pretty set on who I like its just finding a label to commit to, I was just a lesbian for a few months but it felt restricting almost. so as I keep saying, exact same boat im just existing at this point haha thanks cam
