to deal with the walking height- you could place blocks to walk on then a water tight wall around them with blocks so you dont walk any higher and can still raise the water level
@tord1508

Doesn't necessarily have to be water tight (if you can bear wet feet or using boots). The important thing is isolating the walk way from the animals. "Animal tight" walls will suffice.

How do you ensure that the pit wont get moldy with all that moisture?
@devindonovan8201
@devindonovan8201 Жыл бұрын
Don't quote me but i don't THINK mold really grows on solid rock... Or at the very least it has a harder time than it would on wood or underneath the paint/wallpaper of a house. The moisture collects in the pores of the surrounding stone, and if enough collects, it drips back down. In fact that's why the one cinder block has little stalactites growing; when the water drips back into the pool, it leaves a tiny amount of limestone behind. And then water evaporates to the same spot, drips back down, leaves a tiny bit more, etc etc until now you have a stick of calcite hanging from a cinder block.... Given enough time, like 10 years, they'll start forming on the ceiling and that'll be BADASS

Given a hundred years or more, they'll get really thick and, prolly by a thousand years in, they'll reach the ground, forming columns. Those cool rock formations in caves take a very long time to get that way. But also theoretically this manmade cave would have to have water flowingly through consistently during all that time as well. Sorry for the info dump I just think this shit is cool lolol
