@@RaitisRides I do agree that it would look better if it were higher up but I still don't think it looks too bad where it's at. I think it was done that way to get some more airflow because if it were in the grill, that bar in the middle would still be there with no airflow going through it at all. Instead, they put it on the bar to get a little more performance and cooling out of it. By the way, I wasn't saying that you specifically we're hating on it, I just meant that it gets hate in general. In my opinion, it's still a beautiful car and even if people don't like it, it's just a refresh, not a 7th gen! Only have to deal with it for a couple years lol

If you have not establish credit yet I highly recommend getting a credit card. Even if you're not making a lot of money 5 years from now if you have established credit and save some money it's doable. Beware of Ford Mustang shills. Don’t fall for it. I own this car, and it looks badass at night with the headlights lit up. I have to be honest, though. They did go with a more futuristic robotic look, rather than a classic 90’s kind of style. So, do you like the new technological modern era look, or not? It’s all about personal taste. I’m a DJ, and I like heavy metal, so I like it. Do I think they should have a front end option for future models of the SS? Absolutely, yes!

I have a 2018 Camaro SS in nightfall gray metallic. I took off the fender flag and replaced it with a black SS. I changed all the SS badges to black as well as the Chevy emblems. I got the blackout taillights and 3rd brake light. The wheels are black as well as the lug nuts.Those little modifications made a world of different.Nice video and review.✊

I think it's nice looking but I think chevy has had too many engine problems snd heard that the ford 302 coyote is a much better and built to out perform the 6.2 ,392 so i will except a ford over the other, Ive raced and beat both in my mustang gt and isn't mustang cheaper and better.

Once again, great vid. Would like to have seen the car in the air on a rack so we can see better how the car is constructed and what the suspension is made of. I'm driving one of these cars now and for me the most impressive thing about it is the steering. The motor is awesome, it pulls hard in just about any range and makes passing faster and safer. The brakes are incredible, it's the best extension between my mind and a machine I have ever felt, there is no compromise, no double pumping, no feathering incase of lockup, just push the brakes, simple. While driving to Seattle Washington from Eugene Oregon I noticed that when I steered from lane to lane or around corners. IfI one of my ligaments in my arms as much as twitched the car immediately obeyed. Finally, I drive fo a living and have done so nearly 35 years. I have traveled countless miles on as many routes and terrains as one can imagine and I have never had as great an experience as handling, driving and enjoying an American vehicle as I have with the 2019 Camaro. 😎

I saw one of these recently in a deep blue colour, and thought it looked fantastic! It sounded absolutely terrific too, just idling. The guy was waiting to make a left turn, and I was walking by to struck up a conversation through his open window to tell him how genuinely surprised I was about how great it looked. He said he'd been enjoying the heck out of it. Really nice car, especially to see it and hear it in person. It made me consider one for myself, which is amazing considering Chevy is probably at the very bottom of my respect list in terms of auto companies!

I agree with your points on the placement of the SS badging. I also always thought it was strange that the SS badge on the rear is very small and on the bumper instead of the trunk. Also , you’re right that the car would look cooler with an SS badge on the side front fender to let people know it’s an SS. The mustang GT has the 5.0 badge on the side and it makes it look intimidating.

I own an A10 SS. It’s freaking insanely good. Feels like a super car and I paid low $30ks. Unreal bang for the buck. Visibility is rarely an issue.

I picked up my Riverside blue a week and a half ago. Had the wheels powder coated gloss black, hood wrapped in satin black all silver and chrome on the outside including the bow tie and the Chevy emblem on the rear end were blacked out. Absolutely incredible looking. Blacking out the chrome bow tie turns the front end into beautiful. PS. Love your performance numbers. Much better than I’ve seen online. I mean 0-60 and 1/4. Wow. Nice.

Totally dig the heads up display ! It feels very futuristic. Love the self dimming side mirrors and moon roof option wish Mustang had that as well. This thing runs and sounds really good. I have the rearview mirror camera which really gives you bigger view of what's going on behind you. It's adjustable too. The only thing is requires you to refocus your eyes when going from the HUD to rearview.

Super honest review Joe. I appreciate all cars for whatever it is that they might do well. Clearly your approach to this car passion thing incorporates this sentiment. That’s what makes your reviews so good. Since the Camaro returned, I’ve tried so hard to love the way it looks because I’ve felt like I would really enjoy the driving experience. Closest I could come would be the ZL1 specifically because the front looks aggressive to me. But walk around the rest of the car and the excitement fizzles out. In the end you want to own a car with no “zonks” to haunt you. I know plenty of car people love the Camaro - and they should - it’s gotta be full of fun to rip it around. For me - as you said in so many words - I feel like whatever angle I look at it from, I’m just wanting more - it’s just not quite right. Thnx Joe

Solid video. I recently traded my ‘16 RS for an orange crush ‘19 1SS with the 10 speed auto and dual mode exhaust and can’t get enough of it. Plenty of compliments driving it around town. Although I did have Chevy paint match my flowtie with the bumper to get rid of the chrome nose 🤷🏻‍♂️. Anyways, thumbs up on the video and I hope the look grows on you more because this refresh was a home run in my opinion 👌

I didn't much care where the bow tie was located on the front until you put your hand over it and it looked instantly better. I think these external flaws are easy to overcome on the after market especially if that drive is as good as you made it out to be.

Got my 2019 2SS in Riverside Blue about 90 days ago. Looked at Challenger, Mustang, Corvette, then settled on buying Camaro SS. I’ve owned many Fords (including a Mustang), and Chevys (including a C6 Vette) so I’m not a snob about the whole Chevy vs. Ford B.S. I beg to differ on the roominess. I’m 6’ 4”+, and I do not fit in the C7 Vette even though I had plenty of room in my C6. That’s what pushed me to a showdown between the Mustang, and the Camaro. The deciding factors for me (not the rest of you haters) was that the Mustang looked kinda bulbous on the front hood, and was not as aggressive looking as the Camaro, the Camaro has more low end grunt for coming off the line, and it handles better. Bottom line is that both cars are awesome, but I just bonded with the Camaro right away. Going back to your headroom comment, while it’s nice to have a sun roof, I’ve generally found that it’s not a good option for tall people because the mechanics of it always eats up headroom vs a solid top coupe or thinner convertible top. That said, one of the other things not mentioned was the stereo in this baby. This is the only stock audio system I’ve ever owned that exceeds my need for more volume. I play in a rock band, and this clear thumping power would compete straight up with my Mesa Boogie. Crank a little Sevendust, and you’ll know what I mean. Lastly, yes, I look back at my SS as I walk away. I have received much unsolicited praise on the great looks as I go around town. “Aggressive” and “Bad Ass” are the two most common shout outs. It may not be everyone’s cup a tea, but I’m not trying to make everyone else as happy as I am! Thanks for showcasing the real fun of this hot rod, acceleration, handling, and of course, the cracking exhausts on deceleration. Brings a smile to my face every time. Sorry for the long comment.

I test drove a '19 1SS auto in shadow gray. It's a freakin' beast. Looked great to me and bought it. No regrets at all. Visibility doesn't bother me at all.

103 mph. 🤣 This is the problem with the LT1, you just don’t want to get out of the throttle. The top of 3rd in a C7 Vette I had was arrest and impound territory, but it’s all but impossible to stay off of that loud pedal. Gets super-frustrating after a while. Thanks for that pull, though. Sounds fantastic!

Very good review. At least you got the new look bit out of the way early and got into the refinement of the mechanicals. As an owner of a 2019 2SS, I have no issues with the car in any way whatsoever. I like the new look, love the cabin and love the performance.

Dunno why people would hate the refresh. The car was a beautiful concept in 2010, and I have been following closely ever since. After 2010, they made some mistakes in the update, but this 2019 brings it back closer to what a Camaro looks like, and that's the whole point. I will admit that the car looks best in black for the SS model, otherwise the "wings" on the front fascia stick out to the eye. Other than that, they did a great job.

To be honest, I am truly a Ford guy and I always will be in my heart. However, I have been disappointed with how the Ford brand is not doing enough with the Mustang which is the car that I love. Wish that they would bring back the older style as opposed to the newer body styles. At the moment, I am currently looking into purchasing a 2019 Chevy Camaro and I have built and priced the vehicle matching my personality. The Mosaic Black, Spider Red striping for the hood of the vehicle, red knee padding for the interior, and black wheels. Hopefully, it will put the smile back on my face like the Mustang would. I have also considered applying the Cat-Back Exhaust System; however, does anyone know how well it operates? Haha!

With all the problems Ford is having with there 5.0 and 350 cobra R motor's either ticking or blowing up I would most definitely take a look at a Camaro.

@@RaitisRides That's what so surprising, I just purchased my first Camaro 2019 RS V6 and I have no problems with visibility . The platform this car sits on is totally awesome, car handles great and does what its supposed to do. Is it perfect? No, but no car is. Chevy could have done a much more better job with the trunk opening and back seat leg room also. I looked at a V8 but I'm never going to track the car so 335 horsepower is more streetable for me then V8, and cheaper.
