Why is the rear view mirror for EVERY vehicle I sit in (except the Ford Mustang) directly in my line of sight and obstructing my view? I'm 6' 3" and nobody but a few people in some online forums bring it up. How is it not standard to be able to adjust the mirror higher so it doesn't block tall drivers' view of the road? It's really annoying. Seems like manufactures don't know that people over six feet tall exist.

I have hyundai palisade for 5 years now.i picked it over other hyundais because; 1. 100% made/built/assembled in seoul korea 2. Trans+engine are also made in korea Now this other models are; 1. Made/built/assembled in USA montgomery alabama (expect lemons on some) 2. Trans+engine are made in china 50%, usa 40% and only 10% from korea. Check the window sticker for a proof. Especially this one is 4cyl turbocharged (expect highly maintenance and expensive maintenance/short lifespan due to more parts needs to maintain properly working)

They did get rid of the 3 row Sante Fe for a couple of years. I have the 2017 and at the time they also offered a Sante Fe "Sport", that was the 2 row Sante Fe. I also thought they killed the 3 row because of the Palisades. I am now trying to decide between the Highlander and the Sante Fe. I have printed out comparison trim levels for each. Too small to compete with the Highlander, but if you need something bigger than a Rav4/Tucson, with a lot of style, this is the ride. I bought a new Tucson Hybrid last year, and it was great. I love the new styling directions Hyundai/Kia/Genesis are going. Very exciting appealing entries, that offer more than price/value. These are vehicles you want! Definitely more stylish than. a Highlander

I have owned Hyundais for 20 years and have had minimal issues. Owned Fords previously and was sick and tired of short warranties and paying thousands out of pocket. Yes, there have been recalls like any manufacturer out there but Hyundai/Kia/Genesis has been offering extra features for what you pay for the last 10 years.

Picked up a SEL for my wife yesterday and she’s very excited!! Funny you mention the Defender. One of the biggest reasons she chose this was because it looks like a Range Rover (her favorite vehicle but way out of our price range), so this was a good alternative. The auto world brings such a wide array of viewers. So many negative comments that are unfounded. Hyundai is a proven brand with decades of countless accolades from JD Power. Original owners get a great 10 year warranty that I’ve never had to use on any of the Hyundais I’ve owned, in fact no dealer time at all. I see the prices are climbing but they are on everything. This may be a new transmission but their previous DCT’s were excellent and so much better than the going CVT trend from almost every other brand out there.

Joe overall Im digging the boxy design of this 2024 Santa Fe. It's better than the 2023 mall grocery getter, lol. However, the rear-end is where they lose me. I have an idea of how it can be fixed. Picture this: they make the tail lights a little bit thicker and move them to the middle to the top of the tailgate. Then, they move the Santa Fe name to the bottom and keep the Hyundai badge up top. What do ya think about that, Joe? 🤔

The boxy design isn’t necessarily my thing, but it works and the minimalist look is great. Having the lights so low in the rear is a hassle, but it’s pretty well equipped and the interior is halfway lush. Quite the change from the original Santa Fe though. Toyota still beats it on quality, but even Toyota prices are getting a little absurd. Still can’t stand their engines/hybrid systems though. Honda still one-ups on that.

Almost swapped our 22 Palisade Limted for a 24 Sante Fe Hybrid Caligraphy but decides to wait for a Palisade redesign or a 25/26 Sante Fe. I wish this car has the ventilated middle seats and I think the AC controls in the middle row will work better. Younger kids are always in the 3rd row. Agree as well that the third row isn't comfortable..especially compared to the Palisade...the seats are higher so your knees aren't so high. It's a much better car than the highlander...our rental for two weeks is a 24 Highlander XSE and I think it's underwhelming compared to our 22 Palisade or the Sante Fes we looked at. Yeah, I like this and the refreshed Sorento. However, I definitely don't need 3 rows. I know you can just permanently leave them down, but it still makes for a vehicle a bit too big for me. It's a shame the next size down are the Tuscon and Sportage. Those are too small and under powered for me.

@jeffs6090 My sticking point with the third row is that it eats up the under floor storage area, which may sound silly for a lot of people, but it's a HUGE deal for me. I love that I can fit my emergency tools, blankets, dog beds, towels, and other things under the floor and not have anything rolling or sliding around in the back or having to have a box or something back there to hold things. I am really having a hard time with the idea of giving that up. Also, my 2021 is paid for and only has 12,000 miles. The 2024 is really tempting in the green, though, but I haven't looked to see if they are offering that color in the U.S. If not, I will have an easier time saying no...lol!

They really like that 2.5i4. It’s in the Sonata NA and Turbo. It’s in the new K5 NA and Turbo. It’s in the Santa Fe. They also like that back up camera. Found in every single Kia Rio.

Hyundai came out when I was in high school (1983-87). I kinda remember test-driving a stick-shift hatchback of some sort. The pricing was $4250. Still not convinced enough of the brand to buy one.

It doesn't look like an SUV that should be venturing too far off-road. The Hyundai people have demonstrated they know how to do heavy and boxy with this new Santa Fe. I think the market for 3 row SUVs might be hitting its peak.

The 2.7l, 2.8l, 3.0l V6s are gone, but replaced by 2.5l I-4... we're not very far from the same displacement, but the complexity is much less imo. I like this trim and you can see it was made for an EV model in mind for sure. It is much better than the last few "rounded" models.

Toyota Highlander hands down. I bought a new 2022 limited AWD with the V6 before they went to the smaller motor. My only complaint is some wind noise at higher speeds. I will say that Hyundai is definitely upping their game!

Greatly prefer the previous design which I thought was rather elegant in a sea of SUVs. My biggest gripe with new cars is that everyone is getting rid of the gear shift lever in the console and replacing it with buttons, dials, or even worse, putting it back on the steering column. Since there are no manuals left I prefer a car I can put in manual mode and downshift when needed. I don’t care for paddle shifters either.

I have HDA2 on a Palisade. It takes highway corners really well, even descending down mountains in Colorado.
