I've never really been a Cadillac fan but I really like this car. Honestly I like it because it's stylish without being gaudy & most importantly, it just looks like a normal car. I hate it when some of these automakers design their EV's to look like something from the set of Mystery Science Theater, just make it look like a car & if you're Cadillac offer the luxuries that people expect from a Cadillac.

Hi Joe, this is the first comment I leave after subscribing to your channel. Thank you for the amazing review and for the test drive. I have been looking for a thorough test drive for the Lyriq all over KZbin. You are the first and I think the best who reviewed this car. I wish that you consider testing the 0-60 of this car in your next videos and I also was looking forward to seeing the Super Cruise in action. However I enjoyed this test drive so much. Keep up the great work 👏🏼 I really wish that our Cadillac agency here in the UAE can be more proactive have some clarity on when they will be able to get the Lyriq to us here in Dubai and tell us what it’s price would be. Anyway, we’ll have to wait for at least next year to know for sure.

Thank you so much for this first drive video. I'm American but live and work in China and have ordered the AWD Lyriq. Should have it in late December or January and can't wait to get behind the wheel !! To Kenyatta"s comment below, I completely agree with your comment about other manufactures EV's looking like something from the set of Mystery Science Theater. Cadillac did it right with this fresh clean design on the Lyriq. This will be my fourth Cadillac since moving to China but I think it will definitely be my favorite !

I have a '21 xt5 so not in the market right now. But....in 3 to 4 years I might have to get one. Plus such new tech want to let the bugs get worked out. Great place for a test drive. Beautiful.

Thank u for doing the “street observer” view for a drive by! Many testers don’t focus on the external aspect as much as I’d like and tht was very much exactly wht I wanted to see about this vehicle. Both internal driving views and external drive by views are a great mix to have! Also, the driver’s side POV was fabulous! P.S. def better than Tesla imo but right on par w BMW. Tesla needs to shape up it’s production quality consistency, at tht point they’d b a notch above but rn these OG brands take the win.

Thanks for the video, been following the Lyriq for a while now. But you should start using cameras with a non-rolling shutter so we can actually see what the exterior LED lighting looks like. The rolling shutter in your camera makes a mess of all the LED lighting. Thanks.

The Lyriq is a really nice car and Cadillac! I really thought about getting one for a daily commuter, but then again the C8 Z06 and manual option CT4/5-V Blackwings are calling my name as great options, too! I guess the choice is: (1) responsible EV, or (2) reckless abandon ICE vehicle for fun! Hmmm 🤣

Due to the luxurious interior, nice looking exterior, plenty of cargo room, super cruise , and price this just jumped to the top of my EV wish list. My only zonk is the range. It will be interesting to see what the highway range is. My old Tesla said it had a 311 mile range but on the highway that was reduced to 180 miles. I traded it for a new Lexus LS500 which has over 650 miles of highway range but would love to have another EV. Thanks Joe and Lori! Keep up the great work!

It's better than my Wrangler, I barely get 230 miles of range on 17.5gal tank. The range this has is more than enough for me.

Reports are 312 miles for RWD and 287 miles for AWD. Anytime you don't have regen possibilities the range will go down on any EV . EVs are best in town.

Good review Joe and Lori. Wondering what you think about the Caddy versus Ionic 5 and EV6 which are close in pricing? This Caddy should compete with the Genesis EV as a luxury EV. To me, either Kia and Hyundai are charging too much for their top end models or the Caddy is a tremendous value.

Cadillac did a great job with this Lyriq. I currently owned a 2022 Cadillac XT5 350T and I love it...The Lyric is a beautiful luxury mid-size luxury SUV very economical for commuting within the city you live in but the battery charging time must get better in the event you need to drive long distances. Charging station are not located in convenient or safe locations throughout the country. You get the standard battery charger to connect to your standard house electrical outlet but if you need the fast charger, the dealer will sell you one, it will cost about $3,500 and it is a little bit faster to charge your battery but not fast enough plus you need to have an electrician set up a separate electrical line. Hopefully this will get better in the future.

The price is the real winner here. I've always been a harsh Caddy critic, but this is a fantastic car. The design, LEDs, interior, dual motors, and internal space. I just hope Cadillac offers a good warranty for these new editions.

I think it's more of a Model Y competitor, not Model X. It's priced the same, it's almost the same space inside. Model X is much larger inside and costs almost twice the price. Also, comes with third row seats that I don't see Lyriq having in the future. Also, I was in the market for Model Y, but ordered Lyriq instead

Well the bloated "inflation reduction bill" extended the $7500 tax credit. For a car it has to be less than $50K and for an SUV less than $80K to qualify. Cadillic defines this as a crossover SUV, so if that holds the Lyriq will be qualify for the tax credit.

Saw a Model X at a red light a week ago; door handle about an inch higher than the one in front, panels all disjointed, paint looked terrible. How Elon got people to pay $125K for that utter trash I'll never know. The BMW iX is a tech tour de force, but like all German cars it is needlessly complicated (an entire body of carbon fiber??). The Lyriq costs less than a Model Y which is like a Mig 29 being more expensive than an F22. GM is about to slay all comers....again.

Best looking EV inside & out IMO. Nothing else is even close, although I do like the GMC Hummer for a truck. The interior has that perfect balance of minimalist without going to extremes like Tesla (where their interiors look incomplete/unfinished).

This electric change is the best thing that could have happened to Cadillac because Cadillac is a luxury brand that has become not so luxury or at least the people didn’t care for it anymore or saw anything luxurious about it. The cars are just not special when it came to the other brands like bmw and Mercedes. But now with them being able to recreate the brand and cars like this it will give them a chance to compete again.

I have an X. I would consider this one for sure. What folks don't take into account is the Supercharger network. That blows the competition away. I guess folks don't really plan to travel long distances much. That's okay but for me the charging network is a huge deal. I can drive from Maine to FL and know there are hundreds of places to supercharge along the way. It's an amazing setup Tesla has. (again, I would certainly look at this one but wouldn't be taking it to FLA)
