For your camera button being on the Home Screen, you can push and hold then drag and drop icons into the bottom row to make your own quick buttons just like moving apps on your phone.

Thanks Jill, really liked your review. You managed to test this vehicle unlike most other reviewers in that you tested this car in a very cold climate--I don't see many reviewers doing that. I valued your insight into the winter condition behavior and range loss. Agree with you about the subscription-based services that automakers are going to--not a fan.

White on White! That's a daring color combination! I have Argent Silver on White. (I almost wished I'd bought Radiant Red on White. or Blue on White). My Argent Silver, however is striking when it's clean, but it's a darker silver than I wanted. I prefer Chrysler's Bright Silver Metallic.

Did they change the door handles. Why do I remember them being a push to open with the door presenting like the ford Mach e.

Checked one out at the dealer, was a little bummed how the fastback hatch cuts off cargo space vs classic wagon shapes. And I’m almost 54 but i felt 74 sitting in it… That said, i have 96,000 miles on a 2018 Bolt. GM kept everything I like about the bolt and fixed the parts I don’t like by spending money. If you can’t charge at least at 16 amps on 240v, living with an EV will be frustrating. But if you can squeeze those amps out of your panel, or share them with your clothes dryer, the convenience of EV ownership is hard to beat.

I'm a 2024 Cadillac Lyriq OWNER. Luxury 3, AWD fully loaded with 19KW charger and power moonroof (in retrospect no one really needs either of those options). $80,000 (but I got about $12,500 off). The car is fantastic. Feels like something in between an E-class and S-class W222. THE DOWNSIDE however is than non-Tesla EV are stuck on the public charging infrastructure and it's still in its infancy. I don't feel comfortable going out of state unless I KNOW working EVgo chargers are available - and that's not a good thing. Electrify America is operating in more locations near me. Charging at home on my Lectron VBOX, I get a full charge overnight while I sleep. No problems to report whatsoever.

Luckily the Tesla network is opening to other automakers soon, I think GM gets access in the next month or two.

Does the mileage guess-o-meter give you max, min, and average like the Bolt does? I find that if I just plan my charge stops to the minimum I was never disappointed. Usually I’d hit the average but between hills and headwinds you just never know.

The Lyriq would be my favorite EV except for the price. How well does the heater and defroster work in EV's? I like to be warm.

It works fairly well just as long as you pre-warm it. If you go into it completely cold, it takes a while for the heat and defrosters to kick in.

That panoramic roof is great ... unless it's a million degrees outside. Is there a cover? Retractable hopefully?

There is a retractable blind that looks like the car ceiling. It is controlled with buttons on the overhead console. But I always leave my open. The glass is also fairly heavily tinted.

@@regrob2utubethanks. I checked one out in person and of course this is the case. Living in TX where it’s already over 90 and will be for the next few months, I don’t have the option of leaving the glass roof open. But I agree that it’s preferable where you can.

Supercruise and the heated/ventilated/massage seats were a deal breaker for me. I had to have them. Cadillac NEVER should have produced ANY of these cars without those options. Even Tesla added ventilated seats to the new Model 3. For this price, I need them.

As a Lyriq owner I have to guess that you were not operating the vehicle correctly. I have charged my Lyriq from 10-80% in 45mins ? On public charging. The Lyriq can charge at a maximum of 190 kWh. In order to achieve these speeds the battery has to be prepped before charging. If you had charging times that long, my guess is you did not do this. Sadly this is also what lead to all the dead Tesla’s in Chicago. People just not operating the vehicles correctly. You can manually prep the battery before you get to the charger or if your using the Google app and the vehicle knows your headed to a charger when it gets close enough it will prep the battery for you. Then you’ll be able to get the full 190Kwh charging speed (on a curve based on SOC), if you don’t and it’s cold … you’ll get very slow speeds. You can’t quick charge a cold battery. At least not yet. We’ve driven to Chicago, Indy, Cleveland, from the Detroit area and I never spent more than $35. Charging rates are based on the speed of the charge, say 350 kWh vs 65kwh, not all chargers are created equal. They may also increase the price based on time of day and day of the week, are you a member etc. If you use the built in Google maps it will tell you where chargers are, how fast they charge at, and how many are currently in use/ available and when it was last used. Imagine if a gas stations did that ! Using google will also tell you how much battery you’ll have when you get to your location and how much battery will be left by the time you return home (assuming round trip). At first I was pretty upset about vehicles not having CarPlay as I have used it for years every single time I get into a vehicle, but I’ve been converted, the Google app is so much better that i have the choice to use either one, and now cringe when I see CarPlay on the screen. I’m now willing to pay for it, I like it that much. It’s the best handling vehicle I’ve ever driven in the snow and I have had at least one AWD vehicle for the last 2 decades. There is a “Snow” driving mode, with that and one pedal driving it’s incredibly solid in the winter. You have to purposely try to make the car slide under acceleration in the snow to make it happen. All AWD drive vehicles, when all 4 tires are spinning at the same time tend to go laterally left or right, not the traditional “sideways” as rear wheel vehicles do. It’s too bad you weren’t able to enjoy the car and what it’s truly capable of. But with all new technology there’s a learning curve. There’s always next time.

JD Power Reliability report ranks Cadillac third best behind only Lexus and Genesis. I suspect that JD Power has analyzed more data when they wrote their report than you did when you wrote your Data Free comment.

Jill re 2 of your dislikes 1) re headlights- I suspect/guess that in Settings you can select Auto for your headlights and your headlights will turn on automatically when it is dark (night, tunnels, stormy weather) and your high beams will also come on automatically when there is no traffic approaching you at night. 2) Camera view on the display. Doesn’t the camera view come on automatically and overlay the map as soon as you put the Lyriq in reverse and thus you don’t have to select camera from the menu?
