Is the Chevrolet Camaro SS a BETTER performance car than a Ford Mustang?

The Camaro has been around since 1967 and Chevrolet has always wanted to bring value with performance. On the outside of this 2019 Camaro SS you will find a ONE year only front fascia and grill, 20in wheels, carbon fiber front splitter and GM Performance exhaust. On the inside there is cloth interior, 8in infotainment system, and leather wrapped steering wheel. Under the hood is a 6.2L V8 that pumps out 455 HP & is mated to either a 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission. Is the Chevrolet Camaro SS a better performance car than a Ford Mustang?

As a Camaro lover and owner I got to admit those Mustangs look and sound good and are also fast and even though the Camaro has less horsepower than the Mustang and Challenger it’s still an absolute beast and is able to compete against them especially when it comes to the track and it will always be my favorite out of the 3

Bought a 2021 Camaro 2ss a couple months ago. Same body color and Wheel color as the one in this video. My whole life I've been a manual transmission guy. Went with the 10-speed automatic transmission this time and I'm so glad I did. From a dead stop the launch is a complete thrill as it climbs up through the gears, love that pop sound as it shifts gears. Thanks for your video as I can relate to the fun you were having driving this car.

I’ve grown to appreciate and love the Camaro since I was able to drive my brother in laws 2017 Camaro LT for a while. I just hated how the blind spot was actually a blind spot and how small the trunk space was. I couldn’t fit a cooler in there lol. With the proper mods, any Camaro, from the base model to the top tier one, will sound and run like a demon.

That’s an amazing CarMax sounds great... I went with a 2919 mustang gt performance pack 2 and it’s everything to me I absolutely love it but all the big 3 performance cars are really good just personal preference you can’t go wrong with either of them great review joe keep it up !

@@fabian-isf5310 oh brother! Now the low end punch is really great on the 392 but of course kinda struggles on the top end compared to its competition. The SS still puts you in your seat. It’s great when you step on the gas in the SS and you see the nose end of the car go up! Anyways yes the SS is a bit faster on the top end. Man seeing this reminds me of the time I was a young boy at 19 years old being a late bloomer on driving and just had gotten my drivers license and was looking to my first car and I was so close to getting a Camero. It was a 2011 basically new at the time but I was so dumb and didn’t believe I could so I went with a Dodge Charger that was a bit older and I loved it still specially for my first car but do regret not just going for the camero. Haha.....one of Raiti's funniest "on throttle!s" ever at the beginning. Exact model I have. Now have 13,500mi on it. No issues with it except the console crackles/creaks a little. Other than that.....this car is a fun nasty animal.....and it's comfortable.

My dad has 2 camaros. I like yours. My dad has a 1969 z/28 Camaro all original and a 1969 ss Camaro convertible that was originally stolen in 1982 I think. He got it back but everything was taken. He had 2 mustangs. He has a 68 and 69 Mach 1 Red mustang. They both got stolen after 3 days of owning it.

Camaro lovers can thank Ford, and the Mustang for the creation of the Camaro, as well as the re-introduction of the Camaro. GM would not have made the Camaro if it were not for excellent Mustang sales numbers. Actually, we must give credit to the man, himself, Carroll Shelby, for turning the Mustang from a 'secretary's car' into a genuine sports car. The 'Pony Car Era' was named in reference to the Mustang. Competition is a wonderful thing!!

The Ten-Speed transmission was actually developed by FoMoCo and is used by both Ford & Chevrolet. By the way, I drive a 2014 Shelby GT500. The car is just slightly modified, when I had it Dyno-tuned by House of Boost in Kansas City, it made 738 H.P. at the rear wheels on the ground. I won't say it can beat everyone, but I will say that I'm ready for most 6.2 Liter Camaros!

Honestly, the current gen Camaro , Mustang, and Challenger are excellent muscle cars. Massively powerful and reliable engines that will last for decades. Transmissions that are essentially bulletproof. Comfy interiors, booming sound systems, etc. All will tear your eyeballs out with acceleration and fill your ears with the sound of a glorious V8. If you are old enough to remember 1980s or 1990s American cars, you would feel like you are in Heaven with any of these.

I have a 2018 Camaro SS 1le, it's an amazing car for the money. If your like me and like track or Cannon driving I think the Camaro is the best handling of the 3 especially with the 1le package.
