I've never owned a V8 mustang, only two V6's (which by the way, Ford no longer offers that option) but if I had a choice on my third, it would be an ecoboost. I feel that the V8 has a place for super enthusiasts and for those that are actually going to drive the shit out of the car on the track. If you're a daily driver like I am, I want the Mustang name/heritage, decent performance, and good gas mileage but don't necessarily care for the bragging rights to simply say that I have a V8 gas guzzler that takes me to work.

Exactly. I feel the same way. The V8 or bust guys can stay in their lane. That's why I am a fan of the Ecoboost Stang. I prefer the digital cluster simply because I don't like the weird, deep gauges. Big fan of the 94-98's, which I will own.

@@GoFast865 A V8 Ecoboost does not exist so there is no point in discussing that although it would be the ultimate as you have seen BMW do with their V8s. However, this 2.3 turbo option is what we are discussing today, and I am here to tell you that for a 4 cylinder 2.3L engine to deliver more torque than HP means its running so little boost and associated mapping, the car is under-tuned, and deliberately underpowered. Simply turning up the boost and ensure the air/fuel ratio and ignition timing are optimised will deliver 100 more HP to this car. How else can I explain this? This is not an accident. The 2.3 turbo engine given enough boost and strong internals will outperform the V8 and Ford cannot allow this from a Marketing point of view. They are too scared to give the car the Taurus SHO V6 twin turbo because then the V8 will be obsolete. In the F150 for the first time a V6 outperforms a V8. Do you see their Dilemma? A turbocharged engine of smaller capacity is always going to outperform a normally aspirated engine. Another thing; if Ford can give the Taurus SHO V6 Twin Turbo and 4WD, why can't the Mustang get these same things and make it a better car? Of course the Ultimate Mustang will be the V8 Twin Turbo and 4WD; you know, like the M5 and M8 BMW.

And 28mpg highway isn’t great imo. Pretty car but not worth the $35k+ especially with all the quality issues Ford seems to have had last few years 🤨

TheMalfunctionGaming I did the same with a 2018 since it was optioned to perfection minus the V8. If you’re a car or Mustang enthusiast you already know it’s inevitable there’s always eventually going to be the yearning for the next best thing, newer, higher trim, better engine, etc. I look at my purchase as a stepping stone towards the greats later along the line, with the money spent as paying for getting into the experience early on, having some fun and good times, hell even a Mustang “trial” before diving right into a V8. And regardless of the depreciation which many cars guys have come to terms with, you can always turn your car around for trade-in when you’re finally going V8. It’s not like you have to buy a GT from the ground up again, starting at zero. I’m perfectly happy paying to drive a cool 2018 Mustang EcoBoost in the meantime while waiting for the next upgrade, as opposed to driving a boring beater for an extra year, or two, or three. No regrets here, and am anxiously awaiting next year when I plan on going Gt350, marking the third year I’ve had my Eco.

But my point is they're awesome daily drivers for ppl who don't want to pay out the ass for the insurance alone for the 8 cyl average which prolly gonna be about the same or even more than what the car payment would come out too for most which is just retarded. Ill say it again the ecoboost about efficiency and is made as daily driver. Plus they are highly modable if you do want to add more hps for the eco. Sure having 8 is fun and will usually turn more heads than ecos with the sound but is it worth an extra arm and leg for if you just wanted a daily? No way! Maybe for a weekend vechile and then get an eco weekdays when you don't want to have all the attention

This is why I have zero regrets on my '19 PP ECO - one might catch me in a straight line, but don't be in my way when the twisties come up. I have the Ford Performance tune on it, and that's putting me right where I like to be as far as power goes. A little bit of tweaking with the exhaust is all that's left for me to do. Kind of wonder what the overall difference would be to compare the '19 with the FP tune against the 2020 HPP, other than the different block?

But, I think the mustang is the king when it comes to the muscle car category for this price point. Nothing beats a Mustang to me. I have this car, with the handling package and I would say its definitely worth getting this if you aren't in desperate need of a V8. Don't forget, you can lease Ecoboost mustangs and not GT's. I got videos on my EB HPP on my channel if anyone wants to check it out. Loved the video btw!

The EcoBoost Mustang and EcoBoost HPP does serve a purpose in the Ford lineup, it ABSOLUTELY does or they wouldn't produce them. I just feel like if you can do it, you need to go through the V8 Coyote Experience at least once. I'm sure you would agree with that Joe. This is an absolutely nice ride though and it does hold a spot in the Ford lineup for sure. I would never fault anyone for buying or leasing these, they are still very nice cars and you did a great job showing this one to us as you always do.

Hey Joe. Looking to get an HPP by the end of the month. Looking between one with Handling pack and one without. Is the magne-ride worth it? Do you feel a dramatic difference?

Yeah...a turbo 6 would have made more sense. Can't justify spending that much on a 4 cylinder. Mustang lineup: (turbo 6, flat plane 8, supercharged 8, twin turbo 8)

Insurance, gas mileage, handling & ride, slightly less cost, fewer EB HPPs. Comparison is HPP to base GT, when adding handling package & magna ride to GT to get close to HPP handling the difference in $s start to be apparent. If you want to go fast in a straight line go GT, if you want a Street carver HPP, test drive HPP & push it in the corners & curves will let you know why HPP

That Ford Mustang it’s ok the 4inc Screen it’s not good but you can get the updated version from 4D Tech that will be the 8inc screen With Apple CarPlay and android and navigation it takes 40 minutes to install . Great videos Joe keep up the good work . Oh so fun don’t be cheap hard plastic a 4 inch screen in a Mustang give us the age with Apple CarPlay and Android don’t cheap out give the customers what they need

Good job Joe, like the car, it's a Mustang. But i am a V8 in a Mustang guy, but we do have a 2019 Edge with a Ecoboost turbo 4, that has great performance.

Anyone who is a true mustang fan and knows the mustangs history knows about the svo. These cars from 84 to 86 had more power and cost more than the 5.0's. They could handle the straight line and the track. The ponies in the smokies has stangs from every era for 84 and 85 they have svo's not the 5.0's that says a lot. Guess what the svo was a turbo 2.3 inline 4. So yes the ecoboost mustang is a real mustang. At the end of the day, to each there own how boring would it be if we all had the same cars. I love all cars and appreciate everyone's unique taste and style.

Fantastic exterior looks, but embarrassing infotainment for a 2020. Also, that sound just does not seem right coming out of a Mustang. Need that deep burble from the V8, anything else just isn’t right!

I'm a day 1 Mustang Fan i have had 3 Mustangs through out my time since 18 yrs old ( 1st being Mustang GT 2008 Model , Mustang Cobra 2001 Model , and now currently staying on my California Special 2014 Mustang 5.0 ) I gotta say though , i've seen the Ecoboost come out since 2015 Models uptill the current new ones.... and i never liked the older EcoBoost versions as i've always been with GT's & 5.0L V8 stangs.... However , as for this Car specifically the HPP package on this 2020 EcoBoost looks pretty slick & Nice what an amazing job... ( I actually never thought EcoBoost would have Quad Tips and look pretty neat specialy those 19 inch wheels are nice on the Mustangs... as i personally have my own 19Inch SVT on my C/S Mustang 5.0 '14 ). As for the exhaust sound on this EcoBoost it doesn't sound that bad either for a 2.3L Turbo Charge , i got a pretty loud Borla Catback for my 5.0 😅.... Thanks for the Review though ( As for the MSRP with this 2020 HPP EcoBoost isn't $37K abit high.... Since the new Premium 5.0 is around that MSRP price or near it ).

Too much for packages that should already be included, why buy a performance package when its "supposed" to be a sports car! 🙄 if it were a focus I would understand purchasing these add ons.

Not sure how I personally feel about the EcoBoost HPP but it’s another option for those in the Stang’ market. More options are always good. The 2.7 EcoBoost would’ve been the better engine option 🤣🤣🤣
