Rajendra Cholan the son of Raja Raja Cholan. He expanded his empire by conquering all of South India, Bengal, Srilanka, Indonesia, Parts of Malaysia, Thailand and Combodia. These countries were/are the maritime silk route and he basically owned it. He had the most advanced and the biggest Navy at that time. Established trade with the Arabs and the Chinese. My inspirational person in my life is Arulmoli Varman after I finished the novel Ponniyin Selvan written by the great writer Kalki. Raja raja cholan is a nick name for his crown. His original name is Arulmozhi Varman. Still i m having a habit of starts to read out that novel when i m mood off. He is so affectionate with his elder sister Kundavai so only he gave his daughter the same name. U pls watch the tamil movie 'Raja raja Cholan' starring by our great Shivaji sir. Eventhough u dont know the language u can easily understand the movie. When he saw the big statues of Buddha in srilanka was the inspiration for him to built a big temple for lord shiva. Every year his birth date was celebrating very grandfully in this temple. His son Rajendra Chola was also a great king and he too built a temple and makes a small village namely Gangaikonda Cholapuram. Type as gangaikonda cholapuram u came to know...... My heartful thanks Asaad ji I really don't expect this from u....... As a christian our family whenever we go to Velankanni church we will surely visited Tanjore temple surely.....

as a malaysian, the name parameshwara is on our history books. believe it or not, he was running away from the naval empires who were hunting him. he went to singapore, started some chaos there. eventually came to melaka modern day malacca and turned it to a port city fortress. he became rich by the ports and married a local indian muslim girl then converted to islam. he did this for variety of purpose, to invite more traders from all over, to improve ties with locals and most importantly to avoid detection as well. parameshwara will always be the founding father of malaysia. the history started in malacca up until the dutch came, then the portoguese landed, then british colonised us, then the japanese invaded and we were freed by freedom fighters, british and allied forces. we got independence from britain in august 1957 then we united sabah and sarawak but separated singapore in 1963, on sept we celebrate Malaysia day. our history actually has close connection to the ancient cholas as they have their ancient monuments built here still. buried under jungles and left to the harsh nature. all due to local politics and racisms.

Though I am satisfied with the pronunciation it is utter shit. This is not even 1% of his achievements and administration. He introduced kudavolai system which is India's present day election. Absolute Democracy 1000 years back. He introduced the banking system and provided interests and loan for his people 1000 years back. He was first ever king in this world to have standing standard organized 'army'(which we call presently as army) with all facilities provided to his soldiers. He is known for his water management. First one to introduce gold plated coins and used it effectively. The first one to introduce women empowerment coz women were high ranking officer position with special address 'officeress' which we still dont have even today. It is just made gender neutral without any recognition. His elder sister kundavai was the one holding power than him even he being the powerful king. The construction of thanjavur temple is reverse engineering where the basement lies at the top of the temple. The top most stone is not a single stone. It is like an orange, the stones put together well to make the top 'vimanum' so the underneath stones are locked and their strengthen with time. Before building the temple a soil bed was prepared with river bed sand for nearly 250 km across. The temple built upon it is like a pendulum . When disturbed they shake in between the spaces and restores themselves back in position coz there is no cement. That is why the structure stands still today coz it is planned to stay for years and years and constructioned accordingly . No water gets stagnated inside the temple coz it has proper drainage system inspite being granite structure. the first rain harvest management. The list goes but I will stop here.
