Operating Cycle is the period which starts with the first stage of production and ends when the final good is sold. Ex:- If a businessman manufactures shirts so it's operating cycle starts with purchase of cotton cloth and ends when he made shirt out of it suppose it takes him 3 months to do it, so operating cycle is 3 months. Suppose another business manufactures a car which takes 13 months to make, so operating cycle will be of 13 months. 2. First you see if payment period is less than 12 months then it is CL, no matter what it's operating cycle. 3. If payment period is more than 12 months, then check operating cycle. If the PP>OC then it is NCL and if the PP
