Nice video...very informative! I recently got the Givi Blade B47 fitted from Bikenbiker as well. Will try and push the plate slightly back as you recommended...it does cramp up pillion space otherwise!

Yes mate, just give a try and see if that solves pillion space issues😊

Hey mate, the costed around 12500 which is mentioned in the video and installation charges were like 300 bucks, this is a universal top box so should be able to accomodate on most of the top.racks

Hey Bro I found video very useful.. Just wanted to know that you didn't removed stock grab rails and just plate system you had underneath.. So will that affect and withstand the weight of top box more than 5kg or so... If its more weight will there be possibility of bending of that plate underneath.? Also after you move you top box slightly backwards you are consuming almost 70% of top rack.. Does top box base is bigger or rack plate is smaller for givi? Thanks in advance!
@RajRideStories3 жыл бұрын
Hey bro, thank you so much and glad to know you liked my video 😊. Top rack build quality is amazing and it can withstand weight upto 80kgs, but with this top box I would have loaded upto 8-9kms of load and had no issues😊. Hope it helps brother
@mostlybasic3 жыл бұрын
Try riding with pillion with 3-4 kg weight inside box, im sure if you ride fast and hit some long ups and downs, slowly the pillion will push the back rest back n forth, which will transfer the force on back plate.. the plate will bend slightly.. i have tested many such setups. Better to have a support connect bars to rack from other parts of bike chassis, like from footpegs or from a saddle stay...
@RajRideStories3 жыл бұрын
So mate you saying the issue could happen since the rack is not getting any support from any other parts of bike??
@mostlybasic3 жыл бұрын
@@RajRideStories It all depends on the amount of the load inside the box, and how much rest the pillion takes on the box.. and then speed will add it up.. in ups and downs of the road... just try yourself.. and test it.. if it doesn't then it is sturdy enough.. otherwise you know..
@RajRideStories3 жыл бұрын
@@mostlybasic alright sure, I have tested to certain extent but not with pillion on long ride, will check that out as well. Thanks for the heads up buddy...cheers 😊

GIVI strongly not recommended. I bought GIVI blade B37 top box 2 months ago and have been facing numerous quality related issues. Contacted GIVI Italy/ India and they refused to even look into the problems seriously and displayed care a damn attitude towards these short falls. After my personal experience, GIVI made me believe that they are an overrated, unprofessional and arrogant company to patronise with. 1. The base plate rubbers are made of material which tends to stick to the top box. Due to this this, every-time I remove the top box, the rubbers sticks to the box and come off. The first time this happened, I lost those rubbers on a highway and then, had to go and look for them in the middle of the night. If you lose these mounting rubbers, your top box will rattle crazily and will that will eventually damage the base plate/ box. 2. The top box cover hinge has a play and due to this, the cover continuously rattles. 3. The packing rubber inside the box and the cover not fitting well. Shouldn’t that be the case, the point 2 above may not happen. 4. The push bottom of the box cover is not very smooth. I have to press really hard to push open the cover. This is dangerous, as the bike may come off the side stand and fall due to this push. I have to be very watchful and have to keep a hand behind the box while opening it. Shared all the concerns and videos with GIVI and I was quite flabbergasted by their response and reaction. They strongly made me believe now that their customer service/ satisfaction is Rock bottom. Highly overrated brand and I am in process of making a full review video of this box and posting it on KZbin shortly. Once done, will share the link here too: 👍 After using this box for 5000 odd kms, which is a mix of city, highway and off road drives, I feel one should opt for a much stable, stronger and permanently mounted top box like orange candy, Motocan, etc, as GIVI seems to be more super bikes and highway centric design and not made for an adventure bike like Himalayan, which is made to withstand constant vibrations/ beatings. After the above mentioned experience and shelling INR 1,3000/-, I felt deceived and humiliated by such an awefull experience.

That's really sorry to hear brother.. yes I agree Givi is expensive due to its brand name and it's better we look for alternate brands which can offer better products at reasonable price...
