Not always but many, yes won. Japan defeated you guys in 1905, Crimean war, WWI, Afghanistan, Polish war to name a few. However, Russia is way better than USA, that part is true.
@dasham8963
@dasham8963 6 жыл бұрын
No, you are mistaken. Finally Russians joined Poland to Russian Empire. Catherine the Great did it. Although before it the Polish had burned Mosсоw. Crimean War was a part of BIG war with Ottoman Empire, which had lasted for 400 years. Britain was an ally of the Ottomans. Finally Russians ruined Ottoman Empire and later USSR ruined British Empire. Russians didn't lose the War with Japan. It was a draw. Draw is parity, peaceful agreement. Generally, Russians were about to win, but Americans financed first Russian revolution 1905-1907, that's why Russians decided to make a draw with Japan. But draw is not a defeat. And later during WWII Russia occupied several Japanese islands, joined them to Russia. In the 1st World War Russia occupied Iran, Iraq, was about to occupy Bosphorus Strait. Americans again financed revolution in Russia in 1917 to prevent our victory. Because of that revolution Russia collapsed in 1917. WWI ended in 1918. But anyway, our enemy Germany lost WWI and paid reparations. Pro-America Afgans lost 20 times more people than Russians did. It isn't defeat. Japan lost 2 times more people than Russians, Germans in WWI also lost twice as much as Russians. By the way in 1904 Russia protected China. Japanese attacked China, that's why Russia announced war to Janan. Russia never lost wars. Some battles - yes. Wars - never. Now our aim is to ruin USA

Dear Mr Gupta, I appreciate your interest in 1962 war. Reference your comments and all replies given in response, I would still suggest to you that Henderson Brooke- Bhagat Report is only one version of the war. There are six more versions of the records with us and our historians have visited all US archives you are referring. Our experience with US archives is that they give westernised version. As you have been in US for so many years, the western bias is understandable. I would humbly suggest that you can get in touch with me through my website and we can have a meaningful discussion , instead of wasting time of others who may not be interested in the subject. The fact that I gave you the name of the officer who flew first Mig 21 from Tashkent to Chandigarh, I don't think the fact can be refuted unless you give evidence to the contrary, instead of prolonging conversation by diverting it. You can find me as Shashi Asthana in all social media platforms or just google my name. Gen Asthana

I have noticed that RSTV bigpicture is also somewhat gender biased. For a discussion they never bring female panelist except in some cases where topic is especially on women. I hope bigpicture will look into this and atleast bring 1female panelist in every discussion. I know they don't see gender they only focus on experts. Who ever is expert they invite them but my request is to also bring female expert as there are many.

Mr Pawan, Everyone is entitled to have views and I respect everyone's views. Putting the record straight, In 1962 lack of air power was one of the causes of Indian debacle. Russia helped us with induction of MIG 21. Through due process of induction, which takes some time, the first MIG 21 was inducted in April 1963, when the 1962 war has not been called off formally although unilateral ceasefire had started. Ref URL www.dailyexcelsior.com/fifty-years-of-mig-21-in-indian-air-force/ Your Para1 of Comments is your perception of history, which was not subject of discussion. I agree with Para 2 and I said the same during discussion. You may like to go through the debate again. Your Para 3 is your perception, which again was not subject of discussion. You must appreciate that all details cannot be put across in such short programs. You can google my name to get my coordinates and we can have more discussion on it, instead of making remarks. Maj Gen Asthana Maj Gen Asthana I am sorry if I offended you. We lost a lot of friends and neighbors in 1962 war. We also had direct access to a lot of very senior officers from the NEFA who gave us blow by blow account of the Oct/Nov engagement with the Chinese. I have gone through the Henderson Brooks-Bhagat Report very carefully and it matches with the facts recounted by our friends after the conflict. FYI the first Sqn Ldr of MIG 21 was my neighbor. Please correct me if I am wrong. Dear Mr Pawan, Thanks for your information. We normally go by official records and not individual perceptions. In April 1963 the first MiG-21 was flown by Wing Commander Dilbagh Singh from Tashkent to Chandigarh Air Base. I am the Chief Instructor of USI of India, which has largest repository of these records in our library. Ours is a 165 years old organisation and has a unique Historical Section which is globally acknowledged. It has compared all records, individual perceptions of participants in various wars including 1962 War. I also conduct a course on Military History for officers of Services. My contact Numbers are on Website of USI of India, or you can google my name. I would invite you for a cup of tea in USI and continue with further discussion. Hereafter I will not have time to spare more time typing out more replies. Thanks. Maj Gen S B Asthana

Hello Sandeep you asked a valid point. Actually there are many issues involved- 1. Russia is a junior partner in its relationship with China. 2. US sanctions post Crimea annexation have crippled Russian economy and has made its economy very dependent on China particularly its energy and defence sectors. 3. Finally, Russia is not what it used to be few decades back. We don't share any special and privileged relationship with Russia despite the tall claims made frequently from both sides. Russia knows that India has drifted to US side in the last decade. However, Russia is important not only as a defence partner but also for continuation of multipolar world order.
