I'm a big pauper fan. In a lot of ways it requires creative deck building because a lot of the traditional removal is locked behind black at common. Probably my favourite 60 card format.
@EsperVeltmanMusic4 ай бұрын
Luckily we just got Thraben charm at common in modern horizons 3 paired with journey to no-where white can really fight now! (this format is my favorite and is so healthy right now its really rad)
@Dimitar_Tsanev4 ай бұрын
I think Pauper in a way is close to being the purest form of Magic as you can experience the difference in removal types in terms of them being true to the colour pie. You have creature destruction in black, exiling in white, direct damage in red, artifact and enchantment destruction, as well as fight/bite effects in green, and discarding and milling in blue (as well as stunning). Of course all of these are available in other formats but I feel like pauper has access to the most basic and straightforward forms of each version of removal which is as close to the original designs as you can get.

I'm so happy there's a channel interested in pauper. I'm so absolutely sick of and over with everyone talking about fucking commander. To me pauper feels so much more flexible and expressive. I fucking hate being restricted to a single way of building decks and playing the game (which is the case in commander). I hope you don't succumb to peer pressure and become just another commander channel (well, even if you do, I still wish you success). I'll be here for all of your pauper or other constructed formats content. Either way, best of luck to you guys.

So how much did your decks cost to build?
@just4funshow4 ай бұрын
Pretty cheap! The madness deck is the cheapest, with the only cards that'll really set you back being galvanic blast and great furnace. If you're happy to play a slightly weaker version of the deck you can swap them out to keep it very budget. We'll have decklists in the description soon

@just4funshow4 ай бұрын
Your options are to either go so fast that they can't hate in time or to keep refilling your graveyard after it's cleared. Most people's sideboard graveyard hate is one use so it can only deal with one threat at a time

Is yugioh card game possible in this channel? 🤔
@juv_3nal4 ай бұрын
I know backseat mtg-ing is probably unappreciated. Nevertheless, lightning bolt usually shouldn't be played on your own turn. holding it in hand with the mana untapped means you can respond if your opponent summons a creature (and you can still zap them for their life on their turn if they don't) and perhaps as importantly it bluffs that you might be able to lightning bolt when you don't even have one in hand so long as you have a card in hand and keep the mana untapped.
@just4funshow4 ай бұрын
Maddie's played against this deck a million times, none of the creatures you actually have to worry about die to a bolt haha

Hi, first time on the channel. Here is some random feedback, as a solo Pauper player and someone used to kalikaiz, snap bolt and bryant content. The production is top tier, not only card showcase but sfx, very lacking in Pauper content. The back and forth from top down view was very distracting to me and I couldn't enjoy the video because of it. Since you channel is for fun gameplay I totally support janky builds, but keep in mind there are a bunch of players that will dismiss the content if there are no trier decks involved. Even in a fun setting I would try to avoid missplays and try to play as lean as possible, even in the most efficient way possible. Something like the professor does on his commander plays, announcing casts and effects, resolving in order, and commenting on the overall status of the board. It's more meticulous than playing casually but helps guide players that are not necesarily experts in the format and entertains the ones who come just to relax. You can even plan a game setup and order the cards beforehand so the gameplay showcases in a particular way that is interesting to view, like reanimating Ulamog turn 1 and live the dream. Last and most important, you two feel genuine and have very charm personalities, you seem like the nicest commander players trying pauper and having fun. Keep the good content and wish you the best :)
