Just look at the difference between Mumtaz and Jaya bhaduri bachchan. On one hand there is Mumtazji with so forgiving, kind and positive approach who chose shashi kapoor to work with him in chor machaye shor even though shashi kapoor rejected to work with her in sachcha jhootha and other films when she was stunts heroine yet she didn't hold any grudge and showed her greatness by chosing shashi kapoor whom she wanted to work with when she had the power to chose her costar. And on the other hand there is Jaya bachchan who is so ungrateful, arrogant and complaining as she is still now by taking rubbish about Manoj Kumar and complaing that he didn't give Amitabh Bachchan enough screen time and wasted him and bla bla bla instead of thanking him for giving amitabh bachchan a role when he was keep giving back to back flop films before zanjeer. She couldn't be thankful and show gratitude to the great Manoj Kumar ji. She is still like that even today if you watch her in assembly how she throws tantrums. She didn't even support à young artist like sushant singh rajput when he was Victim of politics by film industry. So much negativity this Lady has all the time in her mind. That's why we love Mumtaz and she was way more popular than this Jaya bachchan.

Honestly speaking, is saal kaunsa star top pe raha yeh kaafi consusing laga. Kyunki dekha jaaye to is saal Manoj Kumar, Shashi Kapoor, Rajesh Khanna aur Dharmendra charo ke bich me tie lagi. Kyunki top highest grossing movie Manoj Kumar ki rahi jiske weh director aur producer bhi the to unko crédit jaata hai. Lekin kyunki RKAM multistarrer thi, Shashi Kapoor bhi the aur 2nd highest grosser me bhi shashi kapoor hero the to woh bhi barabar ke rahe aur top 10 me Rajesh khanna ki 3 filme aur top 20 me 4 filme aur Dharmendra ki Top 10 me 1 aur top 36 me sabse zyada movies hone ke karan woh bhi barabar hakdar rahe. So I would say all 4 deserved the top spot. Among heroines no doubt the stars were mumtaz, zeenat aman and Hema Malini. But Mumtaz deserves credit for CMS because it was her popularity that brought Shashi Kapoor back to top 5. Overall great episode. 👍👍👏👏❤❤

On special note baaki ke stars ki baat kare to top 10 me Dev Sahab, Sunil Dutt, Feroz Khan and Vinod Khanna ne bhi jagah banayi. So kudos to them. We Can see that it was a mixed year for both Amitabh Bachchan and Jeetendra. Amitabh Bachchan still was not the superstar yet even though he was rising high with zanjeer with 2 moderate not so big hit films, 1 flop and a minor supporting role in the highest grossing film. Jeetendra had only 1 film in top 36. So it was mixed year for both of them.
