This project was first plan to manufacture in near dholera international airport. But just because that airport is not completed a union minister Nitin Gadkari try to store this project from Gujarat. But thanks to Mr Ratan Tata he choose Vadodara 🙏

Boeing has stopped the C17 manufacturing line back in 2015. Even if it was available it could not be substituted due to different weight classes.

@Sherlock03 Indian Airforce even approached the US Air Force to buy a few second-hand C17s from their inventory, but they denied citing they needed it due to the sheer size of US Air Force and their worldwide operations. The most important thing is C295 will be with us in as many as numbers we want as the production will be in India. Also, after getting the small C295 and big C17s, we only need a medium category transporter. The Aurforce has rolled out a tender for a medium 18-30 ton carrier. I believe they want the A400 big bro of c295 because it will be easier to make A400 in india only after we are done with c295. The c295 production line will be modified to make A400 after the required number of c295s is made.

Bull shit.when proposals were invited from various states about 2 years back,the then MVA govt. did not submit any proposal and hence the other 4 states who submitted proposals were only considered for this project. Now Uddhav Thakrey and his son Aditya are playing politics and crying hoarse .UD never made any serious attempts to bring any projects to Maharashtra .Now there are rumors that L&T which manufactures Defence equipments Talegaon is limlkely to move out of the state because of the persistent trouble caused by Shivsena union and also by local NCP mla and many people will lose their jobs. Sena and NCP are doing only lip service and in reality they are causing harm to the states people.

Requirement since 2012, now decision taken in 2022 for its production by our givt. IAF may got these aircrafts after 15- 20 year's ????? Is it Indian or adopted foreign technology?????? Happy to know about it to adopt such technology from foreign countries and produce in India. Now it became Make in India project by Modi Govt.

When HAL is making RTA why India is importing foreign C295 through Tata and not HAL a DPSU? C295 is comparable to AN32. India is buying C295 at almost 48 million dollars per plane whereas a brand new AN32 which IAF has been operating for decades costs only 15 million dollars. Question also arises why India is importing foreign arms through Tata Adani Ambani when there are DPSUs to do the same at no profit no loss basis?
