Way back even then, the divide was apparent..Rakim and 'hard-core' one side and the 'commercials' other side. We went to school with both and depending on your temperament, acknowledged allegiance with one or the other. I just know the hard core dug all the way into my experiences, without skimming only the good-time surfaces. That's why Rakim is timeless..

Big Daddy Kane is a better rapper than Rakim. That's evident Rakim never wanted to have a battle rap with Big Daddy Kane so that is proof. I have done my research on this.
