I was getting cheese for my mum from the corner shop in Chester ~1985, when mine was stolen from outside. I'm still not over it hence why I'm here. This is immaculate and lovely to see it's got the right original Oakley F1 grips.

Thanks buddy, I bet that was devastating. She's flown the nest now, I sold her about 6 months ago, to a guy who will look after her, he has about 10 old school bmxs. 👍

I had this as a kid. Beautiful bike. BMX was all the rage back then, and most my friends had one kind of BMX or another. I saw the Night Burner in a shop window and my jaw dropped. Eventually I got one for Christmas, and so did my sister. To this day this bike looks beautiful to me.

My dad worked on the rigs in the 80s and had a good year according to him in 83 . So xmas 83 i asked santa for the basic burner. On the big day i couldnt believe i had the NITE BURNER. I was the talk of the street an soo lucky. My dad passed away due to cancer the next year,, damm i wish i had the chance to know him as a man, rather than a 13 year old nite burner rider.

Mate, id forgotten how much i liked the nite burner....the red anodised parts and rims were so cool, to an 11 year old me! I had a super burner and the “gold” started peeling off after a few years.

In '81 I had a BMX which in the Netherlands was branded as Surfer BMX which were very similar to the Mk 1 Raleigh Burner including the gusset (with a different cut out) and loop tail, the welding was a better finish than the Raleighs though. geometry was not brilliant but at the end of the day that was the best I could afford for my spending money! Over time I did upgrade many parts and raced on it locally and regionally. In the Mid '90's I did own a Raleigh Burner Aero Pro, which was one of the best BMX's I owned, the other was a TNT BMX which I loved too, neither of which I raced but enjoyed just riding around.
