God, I used to be a season ticket holder to the Skyhawks. Had a blast even though they lost all their games.

The franchise had to move to Columbus, Ohio in order to get _one_ win as the Ohio Glory. One win.

I remember when the Glory got their only win. The 11 o'clock news in Raleigh made a joke about it, saying that the Skyhawks finally got a win. The Skyhawks were awful. This is one pro team that really could have lost to a college team. And they really hurt the Triangle, because there was serious talk that the NFL expansion team that Charlotte got might have gone to Raleigh instead. But when no one came to see the Skyhawks (with good reason), that went out the window. The Carolina Panthers were awarded to Charlotte in 1993, two years after the Skyhawks debacle.

@kav2001c No way they were worse than the Skyhawks. They won five games in a full season in a real, established league. They also had some players who managed to make it into other leagues or other CFL teams. The Skyhawks were mainly a bunch of washouts who had been decent players in the ACC two to five years before. The WLAF was basically the "Last Chance Saloon" for them. None of them belonged in pro football on any level.
