Your like me Bobby talk about selling a bike on and when it comes to the time it's "ah, I think I might do it next week" 😄😄 nice bike you have there, good condition old un's are getting harder to find now so it deserves a good home like yours 👍👍🇬🇧

First on here, a 50/50 mixture of Acitone and Automatic Transmition fluid will penetrate all and any rusted or seized bolts or bits, nice job.

Thanks Tom :) I shall bear that in mind, and try to get some ATF :) Pretty sure one of my cars uses it as power steering fluid :/

Take the other mug guard and leave it in vinegar for a few days and try and save it. That will eat the rust off pretty well. You need an English wheel so you can make another mud guard replacement for the next project. It's only tin and some paint to finish it.

Thanks capeman10, I shall maybe make this a little experiment in a future video, I have wanted to be able to produce repro parts for a while, I shall look into English wheels :)

Can I have the old mudguard ?

Of course, there are one or two things I want to try with it first of all (nothing irreparable), but I shall send you it when I am done :)

@ 00:44 What!!! Seriously? The RSW is a bike. The Chopper is an ornament.

I grew up in Scotland, and started buying old bikes when I was 13, I was born too late to get a cheap chopper, they were out of my price range then, and kinda still are. When I was looking for old bikes with my pocket money I was lucky to get an RSW and VERY lucky to get a Burner for a tenner. I love RSW's, they're quirky, you get a lot of head turns riding them down the street, I dailied one for a few years at uni and had a lot of fun with it :) the Chopper is great fun too, but I'm an RSW guy at heart
