I have the previous ST Rally and put a hobby wing brushless system in it. Its quite enjoyable both on pavement and in the dirt. If you have access to a relatively smooth or rock free dirt area or dirt roads its a riot!

This new release has me servicing and revamping my original Traxxas Rally from 2012. They truly are different. Right off I noticed the old Traxxas Rally uses Slash A-arms, so it has a wider track.

I've always driven underpowered cars, so the dirt was the only way to really slide around. Watching people who can do it so much better than I is truly inspiring to me. I was a young man during group B which was the zenith, or is it Apex of rally, and hoped one day to have a car like one of those monsters. This may be as close to that as I'll ever get. Look for a used Subaru WRX or WRX STI or Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, there is also less expensive models out there like front wheel drive ones, just make sure you test each cylinder for pressure and frame for Rust. The closer it is to stock the better. Good Luck hope you find one.

I just bought the last gen Rally ST 6 days before this was an announced release. 2 days after getting it, I upgraded the hell out of it. Velinion, hd center diff, aluminum center shaft, aluminum chassis brace, aluminum shock tops, TQi radio/receiver with TSM... Not ran it yet. Snow was too deep here. Now it's a muddy sloppy mess... and I'm not into mud RC running... still have a few more planned upgrades. Metal gear servo, adjustable camber links, and some body re=enforcement, then I'm ready for the 2024 season.

Tjis is a very well done video of the car. I like the car a lot. It's one of the r/c cars that looks great in action. The timing of your video release is perfect since the WRC Monte Carlo Rally is going on and you can watch KZbin coverage. They don't have snow, but the did have ice roads.

I can't take Traxxas seriously anymore. It's always a re-upload of a car with some brushless upgrade or a body then a hefty price tag. They must not have an R&D department anymore. No new platforms other than a bad attempt at making a basher truggy like everyone else's basher Truggy. Then they send it to 10000 KZbinrs to promote their new body and brushless system. I want something completely new! Of course, with my addiction, I'll still end up buying probably 2 of these fiestas Rally ST VXLs after my rant. Poor me!

The xmaxx, XRT, Maxx is sweet. But it’s the same as Arma. Their new releases are modified versions of their existing platform. All the 6s cars are essentially the same just longer or shorter. Same with 4S and 3S. I have the Mojave and Natorius and they use mostly the same parts.

Kind of funny the people complaining about it being basically the same car it has been…I’ve got multiple rc’s I can’t find parts for because they were discontinued after a year or two but I’ve owned more Traxxas rc’s than I can count and like that even stuff that’s older I can still get parts for. I am beyond irritated right now. I just purchased and reviewed the Fiesta ST BL-2S. I couldn't figure out why Traxxas did such a soft launch on the BL-2s. Then, on their website, it actually mentioned that the VLX would fit in it. 😶 I knew it. This was coming i just didnt expect it to be so soon. In my review, i actually mentioned that it didn't come with the aluminum center drive shaft, TQi radio, and that I would be upgrading to a 3s brushless system. In the end i guess. It's not that bad because the brushless system i bought is better than the VXL, and my TX/RX is also better than the TQi. But i dont know who would even think about buying the BL-2S now. The extra $100 is worth it. Great review. And curse you, Traxxas. At least until there next awesome release.

I have the previous rally, in the limited snap on body. It now sports belted street tires, a 2000kv 6s system. It's one of those cars that something breaks every time I power it up. Mainly because I keep finding the next weak point

That was an awesome overview and Video! Love rally cars especially Rc rally Cars, but I wish Traxxas would take it easy with graphics and be a little more subtle and boring with the paint and give us a solid color with some decals we can decorate it with. Probably would cost a little less too! Other than that it seems this car gets through the snow pretty darn good. I’ll bet she rips but slow mo can fool anybody. Keep up the great work!✌🏼😎👊🏼

I love my 4x4 vxl slash, but i only run it on 3s and always run into heat issues often. Even my 2wd vxl Rustler over heats. Yes I run fans on both motor and ESC

Rallying is just cool, the only motorsports where you slide not for show. Bigger scale probably works better and this can’t collect more sand than rustler already does, but this chassis is not great. You can barely gear it down enough to not fry the electronics with a 3s 5000mAh and setting pinion clearance is very difficult

I have the Team Associated ProRally got a clear shell and painted it up to look like the VW Polo R concept car! Comparable to the Slash Rally but unsure as too which is the better though!
