Rally Onboard with Crash - Detomaso Charade Australian Rally Championship 2002

Something different from "on The Dirt". Here is some onboard footage from the Queensland round of the 2002 Australian Rally Championship. We have had quite a few requests for some onboard footage from a rally, so thought we would upload a bit of our own first. This is from our Daihatsu Charade Detomaso, 1600cc pocket Rocket. Stick around till the end of this video to see how not to take a 4 left and take out a few trees sideways. The video also shows why wrap around seats and HANS devices are necessary and as you will see, they were NOT used in this car at the time.

+Rick OShea It was fully repaired, better than new and was last seen living on a farm in NSW. Not sure if it is still being rallied, but was and still is a very capable car.
