Rally Spectators Save the Day

What happens when you lift too early in FWD? Chris Cyr sends it into the ditch only to be rescued by a group of nearby spectators., and gets to finish SOFR for the first time.

I know how u feel Chris. I rolled on 1st stage @ STPR in 1992. Stopped the last car before sweep and begged him to help roll me back on my wheels. Gentleman that he was he agreed, we finished the rally with so much mud jammed in the doorsills we couldn’t open the co driver’s door , but we finished pretty well. That and other similar experiences carried me through many events in my life. Never quit, press on regardless.🙋🏻‍♂️

I actually ran into those guys at Church of the Raccoons. I remember the running out of gas stage, that was my clip too. But this rally, man you and Glen's pace was unreal. That was by far the fastest I've ever seen you.

In hindsight, locking up the brakes might have kept you on the road instead of flinging you off. Looks like you got a bit too much pendulum going, an unintentional Scandinavian flick into the woods.

Yeah watching over and over I started to slide from that first corner. Late counter steer and too much counter steer. Not implement any of my other training or skills. Just rode out the side the whole way. I remember thinking I was hot and I wonder if I cooked my brain a bit?...Happy to be lucky on this one!
