not sure if you'd look at a 3 year old video's comments, but why the 2.5i over the 2.5rs/ts?
@willhuegli616819 сағат бұрын
Love the video! But don't listen to anything from 5:00 to 6:00, at least if you have the typical np231 transfer case. If you're in 4x4, regardless of high or low, the front and rear are locked together. There is nothing subjective about it.

Absolutely LOVE seeing you guys whip this car around!!!! This was an excellent overview and guide on how its done! I've always wondered, and now we can see it step by step from design thoughts to fit up and the first trial!

As someone with a c5, you can absolutely roast the tires easy if you dump the clutch at like 3500 - 4500 rpm in 1st. That being said you can make it slide at around dumping @ like 3k and feathering the throttle and countersteering. What you’re hearing here is him trying to do that with the traction control on😂 which makes it skip and regain traction killing your sick burnout

Freezeoff in a can found at orileys is a super efficent way to remove sound deadening. spray on let it sit for 30 seconds and wack it with a hammer, breaks off into nice chunks and doesnt make a smokey, toxic mess

I kinda learned to do it all on my own with my AWD 328. I don’t do it exactly like that, but I’ve done something very similar to that on gravel and also snow.

left foot breaking just feels way more safe and natural to me. Didint actually realise people had agressive arguments online over this. It seems that some people that can't do left foot breaking get really angry at those that can.
@LethalLee6663 күн бұрын
why are you left foot braking i thought you was a rally driver ? and mid corner braking in a AWD vehicle i never heard of ! i always been taught you get your braking done before corner and power through corner to avoid understeer

I'm someone who lives to riide and enjoy every single one, so I'm alwayst fast and cutting thru traffic and in all my emergency situations, except for when I was learning, I've done just fine with my right foot. Can't wait to see how much of a difference left foot breaking really makes once I start hitting the track.

Not 50% of the power going to front and rear in 4wd. If the rear was on a sheet of ice and the front was on dry pavement, 100% of the power would go the front.

You lost me completely with newish vehicles, the more computerized it is the less you can rely on it in a shtf scenario. A plain jane older diesel pickup or suburban is probably the best starting point, remember you may not like what you find on the roads, so you may wish to drive elsware.

Do you have special access to a company that sells those wheels? Any place I look they are out of stock for and undetermined amount of time
@generivera2811 күн бұрын
Nah actually the hand break should have been in pointing twords the driver so its out of the way and still close and accessible that way you can also use the original center console plastics keeping it stock and even more comfortable and usable.

i think the sentence in the beginning about braking hard could be misunderstood by some people. if you brake too hard the tires can lock up and you won't get rotation for the corner. starting and ending the braking softly is most likely to induce controllable trail braking. only issue is you could end up not trailbraking at all and just going around the turn normally but that is an ok alternative situation for beginners

Puuuleeeeeeese do a series about building a rally suspension. Being poor (and very cheap) I of course would like something more lowend (springs and dampers if possible) But anything really would work.
