Regardless of what they say, I call it an EDC entirely by the way it wears. It’s a bright flash of freshness and dies down pretty fast. There’s an hour of solid performance, then 6 of skin scent.

Blind bought the 8 oz bottle from Macy's on sale for $60. It is a great fragrance, I was definitely satisfied, smells close to original but tweaked enough to be it's own fragrance

Another wonderful review Ash. Regardless how they turn out, I'm just glad RL started doing OG Polo (and now Polo Sport) flankers again. Realistically, you can't expect vintage smells to sell all that well these days, but at least it's a bit of a throwback. My heart will be broken if Polo Sport Fresh has any resemblance to Invictus though. Then it'll be time to break something.

the cosmair version of polo is the best classic scent. great piney opening and a warm dry down. the new formulation has a funky dry down and ruins the scent.

Same here, haven’t worn this in warm weather as I just picked it up, but I’m excited for spring and summer. It’s somewhere between the original, and a blue fragrance (though not polo blue, I can’t stand that stuff). It has that earthy herbal background that the OG has, without the pine and tobacco that really reek when it’s over 75 degrees

Might not be a cologne concentration but it sure performs like one. I got maybe two hours out of it, but it was a weak skin scent within half an hour so it may as well have been gone by then.

Imo the "cologne" in the name is a mistake as way too many people will confuse it with "eau de cologne" as you said. They should have called it Polo intense, kept the classic green/gold colourway and just made it a stronger version of polo.

Would love to check this one out, as I actually like the OG Polo. Stirling Soap Co created an inspired by scent called Stirling Green, which was actually really nice. That too was a more modern take on Polo. I got the shave soap, AS, and EDT. All great! Looking forward to this one...thanks Ash! 👍

I purchased a bottle of R.L Green in Harrods - London in 1989 as an eighteen year old and remember it being absolutely bonkers strong. I've never purchased it since as i don't want to spoil the memory i have of that pre reformulated version so i might give this ago if its a bit different. Great review as always Ash.

it was in 1988 the stun, polo green was that extraordinary smell. now they change it so much and it age badly. thats a shame. maybe the smell was the vibe of the late 80 but in my opinion it should stay there.

I may be in the small minority here and forgive me if I am but I really don't like this stuff.... I don't like the sour tinge it's got in it, not sure if it's coming from the basil but to my nose it's not real pleasant. It's got that old school barber shop vibe to it which for the most part I can appreciate but this fragrance really smells like something an old man would wear. Not for me....

If any DNA like original Polo Green I'd NOT even want my dead body smelling of it. Green was 1 of my 1st colognes (Back in 1990). I was 21 yrs old. Pretty much can't stand Any Polo anything (used to buy/wear 80$shirts, cuz clubbing & having yo keep up appearances) since 1998 that whole area of my life timed out.

i bought it in 2021. i dont have the same oppinion has the review. i love it. its has that mandarine /orange agrumes smell wich is addictive. nothing i smelll is like that. polo intense get out there finaly. most fragrances are still on the fresh lemon vibe who is like that , since Calvin 1990 btw ( at that point why u just slash yourself with citrus. wich banana republic have done. at that point i thin there more sincere and pure then add multi filler and create a billions of parfums ) . i really like polo brand. i am happy because with the blue, red etc.. polo is was somthing that smll average and not memorable. this one definetly is a more subtile sense like on. ly polo can do it. im happy because since polo sport blue i never found in polo brand that magical vibe and scent that make you dream. go buy it, you wont be disappointed. to get my taste, im on polo inense, bulgari woods essences , glacial essence, polo blue sport, for the night , get hugo boss night the blue bottle. and girogio armani profumo. now your in buisness )
